Was in the area and stopped in. We were given a choice of bar or dining room. We ate in the bar. No difference in menus. The food was very good but more so we felt welcomed and our waitress Jill was fantastic. There was...More

Very nice place for a cozy romantic evening. Clean, organized and small but elegant and original. Excellent atmosphere, food and service. My wife & I thoroughly enjoy ourselves. The parking lot is pretty small but there is a large parking lot one block away where...More

This experience did not begin well. We arrived to learn that the majority of the restaurant, including the "special" table they had assigned us, was all upstairs, with the restrooms located downstairs off of the entry. Note that you will want to be upstairs because...More

A business trip to Harrisonburg brought our party to the Local Chop and Grill House. Excellent service and an all around quality meal.

It looks like a warehouse and the parking is awful but go anyway. Yes, it's pricey for some but not for what you get. Our steaks were perfect for us and the sweet potato soup was incredible. Service was excellent! We would go again.

First visit to the Local Chop and Grill House. The chicken and trout were cooked perfectly. Service was excellent. Sides are unique and also well prepared. One of the best meals ever in a restaurant. There is valet parking and it is a little hard...More

This is without a doubt my favorite restaurant in Harrisonburg and probably my second favorite anywhere I have ever eaten. It is in a charming old industrial building that has been repurposed. The menu is very unique. You select your protein, a choice of three...More

love The Chop house for Happy Hour. Not impressed with their dining room - asked to substitute for a vegetarian option and they don't do substitutions.

Hello. I would not bring small children. It is a quiet and elegant ambiance. I would bring the kiddies to Bella Luna instead.

For this Friday, August 5th, would reservations be required? I am not sure what time we would arrive in Staunton. Thanks.

If you don't mind sitting in the bar area you should be fine. If you want a real table in the proper restaurant, I'd make a reservation.

It was Easter Sunday when we went but it is mostly a casual restaurant. Patrons were dressed up after church so our experience was different. I really like this place!
