One of the best things here is that they actually lost the prices. As a tourist, many places will try to drop you off. At one small stand they said the price of vigaron was 600 cordoba...... It's 80 at Kiosko El Gordito! ...... And honestly, they have the very best vigaron here, I could eat it every single day.... More

Found this place while walking through the centre of town. Seemed very busy and popular with most of the tables occupied. The waitress suggested the Vigoron and pork as well as the beans and rice. This is new food to me, so I have nothing to compare it with. the concept of Vigoron is fascinating but on a taste basis,... More

This place reminds me of the dirty kebab shop I get back home. We arrived today and after some light sight seeing fueled with many margaritas we thought we would check out a local dish, vigoron. I found this place through a blog and it seemed right up our street. For those of you who don't know what vigoron is... More

First time I went I had NACATAMAL for 90c. It was tiny. Then next time got CERDO (Pork) with the usual accompaniments for 100c. They only gave me 2 small nugget size pieces of pork. I thought they made a mistake. So i asked, and they said that that is normal. This place is rubbish. Think they don't respect tourists... More

Very overrated. Better and cheaper comedors in the same area, Got some dried up gallo pinto which was the worst i have had in nicaragua.

I'd heard that I needed to try the vigorón here, and though I didn't know what it was and generally eat vegetarian, it was delicious. It's a huge piece of yuca root (think sweet potato but different) piled high with a slaw and with chichironnes (fried pork skins) on it. Simple, but delicious. Huuuuuuuge portions for very little money. Also,... More

If you want to try some of the street food of Nicaragua you can stop here. I had the Vigoron and it was yummy and filling! It's a great people watching spot in the Parque Central. You will probably be approached by vendors but they are typically respectful if you shake your head
