The freshest fish meals by far!! This place looks a little uninviting from the outside, not sure that the name helps either?, but don't be put off, it's a fishmongers and a restaurant all in one, so guaranteed to be great. They proved their worth by letting me know that when I visited in early April mussels were off the... More

This place looked the business. A fish shop at one side, a fishermen's co-op(?) restaurant the other. And packed with locals (or at least French tourists) at 12.15pm. Sadly the fish soup I had was just poor - I wouldn't have been happy to serve it myself - and my main dish was so unmemorable I've forgotten what it was!... More

On the quai of St Vaast, you will find this restaurant as the best offer for seafood. As you may expect 'huitres' as fresh as you can get for little money

We would not have normally chosen this type of restaurant based on its appearance, however went there based on a recommendation. Two of our group had the local oysters which they said were good but the other starters were average. Two of us had mussels for main course which were badly prepared and full of grit. I do expect better... More

Excellent seafood restaurant on the quay. Watch the boats that caught what you are eating. Next door to the fish shop. We had starter then a fruits de mer( you can choose just the fish you want to be in this or go with the suggestions) then a cafe gourmand with wine for €40 each. Could have done with more... More

This restaurant looks like a greasy spoon cafe at first glance; with its garish plastic fascia and Formica covered tables with the table number handwritten on the tabletop in marker pen. The food's pretty good though and if you want good simply cooked fish and shellfish this is a good choice. I had a turbot cooked beautifully so that it... More

Tomahawk, (funny name but don't be put off!) is right on the quay at St Vaast. Reception is good and the Madame who is front of house speaks good English. All the dishes we had and saw other eating were good quality and plentiful. 4 stars easily.

Our first visit to St Vaast did not disappoint. The best oysters, of course, but also a friendly welcome and good service at the Tomahawk. It's a pretty, unspoilt little place and the mariners chapel just round the corner with its memorials to brave sailors lost at sea, some quite recently, is worth a quick look to pay your respects.

Next door to their fishmonger this modest restaurant serves delicious fresh see food, very type of fish, and of course local oysters.Located on the quay side and not too expensive, a visit is certainly recommended.

We were guided here by our Hotel and were not disappointed as they run their own fishing boat and sell fresh next door! We both had some excellent sea food and can recommend it.
