A great Korean restaurant in the heart of Newport news. Their housemade sausage is amazing. The kimchi soup did not disappoint.

I just love this place, the food is good and the service is friendly. I always order the beef bulgogi special which comes with white rice and four fried dumplings, you can pay extra and get fried rice. I've been eating here for years but I've noticed the change in the portion sizes the last three times that I have... More

I was here once before, about a year ago and it was much much better then! The Server told is that there was new ownership and the food had changed in portion and quality. The Bi Bim Bap was acceptable, since it was separate from the rice and was not in the hot stone bowl. The kimchi was average at... More

The place was frequented by local Koreans ...that says it cooks authentic Korean food. Service is great with a smile, a family friendly atmosphere ! This is our second time in 3 days!

We really enjoyed having a chill dinner at Chung Oak. The food was amazing! The kimchee was fresh and tasty. The portions are hearty. You will leave feeling full and happy. The service was excellent. We had a really nice waitress who always came around to check on us. Great experience. I recommend this place for sure.

I have visited this restaurant for years now and have never received poor food or service. Always quick service and always consistently excellent quality food. Meals come with a traditional variety of kimchi plates. Service is usually fast and always friendly even when busy. Bulgogi dishes have fantastic flavor and make a great introductory dish into Korean cuisine for those... More

A friend of mine took me to lunch here while I was visiting. The hot Bi Bim Bop was good and the meal came with the traditional kimchi sides. The location was convenient to the office so we were in and out in a very short time. If I would have stayed longer I would have returned to try the... More

My husband and I have been here a few times, this is our go to Korean joint! The decor may not be fancy but the food here is really really good, I go between the Bi Bim Bop and the Soon Du Boo; my husband always get the Bulgogi, which he is always kind enough to share. If you are... More

I've never had Korean food before ... but i was suitably impressed. As its a quick turnaround at lunchtime, the staff work quickly on the daily specials to turn around on the service .. All the food that came out looked great, and tasted good too ... some interesting accompanments alongside the main course and a decent price too ...... More

The bulgogi is delicious and comes with the traditional sides. The kimchi and cucumber kimchi are always good. A great place to pick up lunch.
