Lovely dinner sitting outside on the narrow pedestrian street in Naxos Old Town. My fried shrimp were superb and my companions also enjoyed their meal. The crowning touch was the complementary Uzo following the meal.

While you pass from the old market you will reach that beautiful place in the beginning of the way to Castle. We enjoy our time there eating local recipes and taste naxian wine. Sure we will be back

We srated with cheese saganski. It was by far the best i had in greece, made from the local cheese... The veal with vegetables was great and so was the fried octopus. We loved this dinner and sitting in the narrow alley of the old market. Uzo on the house was a fiiting ending to a great dinner. Highly recommended!

We waited until our last evening in Naxos to dine here — looking back, had we eaten here earlier, we'd have visited multiple times. The bekri meze was among the best I've eaten, the house wine the best we had in Naxos, and the service outstanding. Most of all, the place was packed, lively, and electric - a rarity on... More

The 'go-to' place to eat, away from the bustle of the sea front crowd. Traditional food cooked to a good standard.

We visit Naxos every year and this is a favourite of ours. This time, we were delighted to see that Metaxi Mas has not only kept its standards but has raised the game. A simple dish of skordailia was one of the best we have had in our many years travelling around Greece. My husband's veal in tomato sauce was... More

Recommended this place as a must eat but it wasn't good at all. Ambience was average and had dogs brushing past our legs all evening. Food was all covered in creams or dressing. Very sickly and not good if you are lactose or semi lactose. Literally everything we ordered from the lamb to veal to seafood was covered. Underneath was... More

Loved this place! Reserve a table to ensure one outside. Food was great! Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. Great service too. A little outside of town, but well worth it.

The receptionist at our hotel recommended this restaurant which locals frequent and she was right, We had a beautiful meal of the most wonderful stuffed aubergine and the freshest calamari. It sits on the edge of the old town below the castle and tables and chairs are placed on the street which has a charm all its own. The dishes... More
