Very lovely restaurant, with good dishes for an amazing price. You should definitely go here once you're in town and if you wish to try the local cuisine! Simpel dishes, perfect taste.

We ate dinner in this restaurant, it appears to be family run with an extended family cooking and serving food. There were also locals eating there which was a good sign. The food was good (pizza and pasta) and was good value.

Like most restaurants in Agerola the lights are on full when you walk in. Unfortunately so was the telly, blaring out CSI. The waitress was pleasant enough and spoke English, the beers were good and the menu pretty comprehensive. To be fair all the food was good, the rabbit ragu and pasta especially, but not amazing. The family/owners wandering about,... More

Authentic food, very friendly and helpful staff. Real family atmosphere. Good menu selection in both Italian and English. They also do a Pizza take-away service for when you don't want the full restaurant experience, these are also very good.

We ate here on our second night in Bomerano. We ordered the fried antipasto and two pizzas, one carbonara and one amatriciana. The antipasto was all right but I think it would have been better to order the regular one with meat and cheese - I saw this go by and it looked better than what we ordered. The pizzas... More

We stood in Agerola for our vacation. One day we decided to eat at Picchio Rosso as it was recommended to us! Unfortunately this was a really poor experience for us. 1. Staff didn't spoke at all English. We managed with "signs" and a bit of poor Italian which we knew. 2. The paste we got was for sure the... More

The food here is outstanding but be prepared for slow service. The whole family cooks and they prepare it perfectly. We enjoyed the food so much that we ate there twice. You will not be disappointed.

We went to Picchio Rosso on the recommendation of the owner of the apartment we stayed at in Bomerano. She said it is the best pizza in town and not overpriced as some other places can be. She was absolutely right! Pizza was amazing! Large selection of these and a number of pasta dishes as well seafood and a couple... More

My wife and I came into Picchio Rosso for a mid afternoon lunch after arriving in the Bomerano area of Agerola that morning. The waiter didn't necessarily seem too happy to see us, but didn't seem to be too thrilled to be working either. That being said, our food was delicious. I had homemade pasta while my wife had a...
