They have the best dough around. The food is amazing and highly recommend any dish on the menu especially those that have mixed mushrooms in it. The staff are extremely nice and accommodating. Would not have a problem going there everyday for a meal.

Although much visited by tourists in the summer this small restaurant still manages to be typically Italian with no fancy ideas or prices. A family run business the food and service can't be faulted. Even when busy - and it usually is very busy - the service remains efficient. The pizza (thin-crusted and managable) range from the traditional to the... More

Changed hands and is no longer the place I once loved. Inattentive, portions reduced, prices the same.

Just a narrow alley off the town's main square is this restaurant where the summer they have terrace settings. We've been here several years by friends from this area. Just as the last time it bit disappoint. The kids had pizzas, of all varieties. Thin crispy crusts with wonderful generous toppings for 5€ cannot be beat. When we arrived they... More

If you want to feel you are getting what the kitchen thinks should be eaten that day because it was the best in the market, and know you are doing so in the heart of an ancient city, try the Osteria. We stuck to the specials board and enjoyed good local dishes and carafe white wine. Friday is fish, from... More

We regularly visit Citta di Castello and we always go to L,Osteria. It is excellent value for money, the food is always delicious and the whole experience is traditionally Italian. Everyone is friendly and they try to speak English even though I speak reasonable Italian and we always come away with the feeling we have just left a Harry Potter... More

We ordered the ravioli with porcini, but they didn't taste like they were homemade. A pity for such a simple dish ...

Some friends recommended the food, wine & outstanding value for money at L'Osteria. We were not disappointed. The setting in the heart of Citta di Castello is quite lovely. The food was good & plentiful, served with a smile. We had an excellent evening with lovely food & wine in good company. L'Osteria is the perfect location to eat if... More

We ate here with a group of 20+ friends in the courtyard. We arrived very early but, right from the start we were treated to a wonderful experience - prosecco on arrival, followed by eight courses of mouth-watering food accompanied by an excellent local red wine. We had such a good time we were 45 minutes late for our next... More
