Found this diner by just passing by while on the way to downtown Norfolk. Clean old style diner with a few counter seats and booths. Not a big breakfast menu. Eggs, pancakes, omelets. Ordered eggs over easy with sausage – the sausage had a nice spice to it. Good friendly service, reasonable.

Went to Tony's for breakfast on Monday morning October 17 2016. They had installed a new grill the day before and we're still getting out adjusted. My waffle was good...complete with bananas and whipped cream but the country fries were just plain bad. Tasted like they were left over from the previous Monday...hard and burned. We haven't been back and... More

Was visiting Norfolk yesterday to see USS Wisconsin and couldn't pass up the shiny diner for breakfast. Service was very good the server was on the ball. French toast and breaky special no 1 were okay but special could have been less stingy on the bacon. Glad we dropped in.

The food is decently priced and the place looks cool (very old fashioned). However the service was poor and the menu was apparently outdated. The menu lists coke products as beverage choices to which we were told they have Pepsi. Then when attempting to order orange juice as listed on the menu the waitress says "no orange juice". Whether this... More

Had breakfast this morning, busicuts and gravy with eggs. They were great homemade milk gravy with buttery busicuts. My husband had the omlete with home fries he loved it. But the best part is the hometown atmosphere everyone knows each other just like the old days.

I had the Breakfast Special and everything was really good. The bacon was very crispy just like I asked and the over medium eggs were great. The rye toast had the butter melted on it.

I have eaten here since I can remember. My earliest memories are in 1991. I've had breakfast and lunch. I ate here on a weekly basis before I retired because I could actually order, get my food, an eat, and stick to my lunch hour! To this day I order my favorite, a tuna sub! The staff are very friendly... More

I've been to Tonys a lot. Breakfast lunch and dinner. Tonys is not diet sensitive in anyway...so if you have a dietary need like low salt or gluten free...you're out of luck. The food is good despite the quality of the base ingredients. But, anything made with enough margarine and fat is going to satisfy. I prefer lunch at tonys...the... More

Only a few tables and service is 'relaxed' but worth the trip and the wait. The chicken salad is the best I've ever had (better than mine!) and the sandwiches are absolutely crammed full of fillings. My companion and I each took home half our sandwiches as we could not finish them. Also on the menu - meatloaf and meatloaf... More
