We kept coming back to this restaurant & Bar! Luis and his team were very attentive and the food and drink was reasonable. On our first night we enjoyed the famous Espatada and Chicken Peri Peri - both lovely. We visited twice for the wonderful steak sandwich on bolo do caco bread - divine! Good prices, great service and a... More

Simple and friendly place where also the local population eat and drink. Quite ok menu with fish, meat and chicken dishes, not too turist oriented. We are two Swedes and one Maderian being quite happy with the food and service for a late lunch.

We have spent lots of wonderful dinners at this place - Madeira cuisine at its best in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. If you need a perfect recommendation for your wine just ask Luis! Thank you very much and see you soon.

I checked out Tripadvisor to chose a last night meal on our visit to Macheco. It is rightly recommended by other reviewers. Fish soup was great with plenty a meat and with local garlic bread would make a great lunch. The patron clearly knew his wines and when we requested a not too dry white were served with a delicious... More

We had a good dinner, try the fish soup with garlic bread! Plus: Good food, large portions, friendly staff. Minus: 30min+ wait for food, hospital-like lighting, tv showing sport.

Simple place near the beach in Machico. Food is simple and up to the standards you would expect at a simple eatery. The service was not. When we visited, the restaurant was crowded and the two young girls couldn't manage the service on their own. They were friendly enough, but we ended up waiting over an hour for our lunch.

We visited here several times during our stay and would rate it as the best restaurant in Machico. The food is really good. There is not a huge choice but everything we had was good traditional food cooked really well. The host has a vast collection of wine and was very friendly. Service is good and prices are great too

The difference between this place and others few we tried in Machico, is definitely the food taste. We've been here three times and all the things we tried were tasty, well done. Fresh fish is good, but if it misses a tasty sauce, it's not great. In here, we loved them all. People are very nice, in their own special... More
