Stopped off for lunch and decided to go for the cheese, bread and meats with Port accompaniment of course. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality, selection and our waiters knowledge about ports and cheese. Normally, reticent to select waiter recommendations re drinks, we went with the flow and discovered better Port recommendations than the Port tastings tried in our... More

Tipical Portuguese food, tasty, very good wines and good service. Good situation but nothing else specially remarkable.

We ate here twice during our week in Porto, because the octopus we ate on the first trip was so superb, the experience needed repeating (we weren't disappointed the second time either). The service was friendly and efficient, but we never felt hurried. Everything we ordered was tasty and well prepared - overall highly recommended.

We waited forever before allowed to place our order for food, although the place was not very crowded. The waiters passed by and simply ignored us. They took the wine order immediately and seemed cooperative at that time.

We asked for the pastries, sandwiches, apple salad and tempura, everything awesome. But the best part was the service, with the waitress Goreti treating us like family, singing and showing the true spirit of this city at its best.

This was the first place we visited in Oporto and what a way to start! It is a quaint little restaurant right on the water with AMAZING food and drink. Prices are extremely reasonable as well. The owner is friendly and really makes you feel welcome. They speak English here too :)

We stopped here for the last meal of our trip. This is a cute portuguese tavern with great beer, a nice wine list and lots of tapas. We shared a bunch of dishes and loved the mushroom/bean stew, and the french fries are amazing!

We ordered mussels and shrimps for starter which were both good. For main dish I had an octopus which was good as well. My girlfriend had a sirloin steak which was not worth the money. Together with a bottle of wine we paid 71 Euros. Although the food was somehow good I have to say that the service was not... More

We had our lunch at taberninha this March. We went there due to the high reviews. But unfortunately the experience was not good enough to give a good rating. The food was OK. Nothing exceptional. The servers were just a bit short of being rude. We had doubts on whether what we ordered and what we received were the same.... More
