This was our 3rd visit to this great little restaurant and again we were not disappointed. We asked to sit out on the terrace as originally we were allocated a table inside due to the time of year. Although it was a bit chilly and roadworks going on outside we still love the setting out on the terrace. Food again... More

Everything about this restaurant is great! The location, wines, staff, food, terrace. We will come back many times. You need to book some days in advance in the summer.

Fabulous!!! Fabulous food, the service was second to none. The location, the wine, the ambiance was superb. Totally recommended Trout and ham apparently a northern Spain recipe. Martin Winter's steak was apparently the best he had ever had. Wonderful

The Mirlo Blanco is at the top of the gastronomic class of Mijas and the standard here is reasonably high. The cuisine is typical of northern Spain so makes a nice alternative to the predominant and equally delicious Andalusian cuisine offered elsewhere. The wine list is well curated and uniquely they have a separate list of sherries - any of... More

On holiday near Mijas we were recommended to try this restaurant and it was a real treat. Clearly family run and been around for some time they have everything down to a fine art. Choice varied, style typically Spanish and both friendly and efficient. The grand mariner soufflé for two to share is to die for and ended a fantastic... More

I have been visiting the restaurant for 10 years when staying at the La Cala Golf Resort and would highly recommend the food and service. In the summer sit out on the terrace overlooking the square - being renovated in May 2017 so should be even nicer when finished!

This was a wonderful evening of delicious food, exceptional staff and great atmosphere. All the food was lovingly prepared. The fish dishes (we had 3) were very fresh. The steak was perfect. We had several desserts--the grand marnier soufflé came out aflame and was very entertaining as well as tasty. This was our best dining experience in Spain. Highly recommended.

I arranged dinner at this restaurant for 25 people for a dinner after a business meeting. The restaurant were very accommodating and opened early for us as I had a range of nationalities to cater for some of which are not used to eating as late as they do in Europe. The restaurant also allowed me to mix and match... More

I had a wonderful dinner at this restaurant located in the old town. Food was excellent, freshly baked bread and olive oil for dipping, pre-heated plates, excellent attentive service and tasty food. Starter was Gazpacho, a dish usually avoided outside home because you never know what they might throw in there but you could taste it was freshly made and... More

This is by far and away the best restaurant in Mijas. My wife and I ate here on a Saturday in a cold spell and found a gem of a restaurant. The log fire was warming and the food was excellent. We shared a prawn pill pill for starters( beware they also give you croquettes to start and a huge... More

El Mirlo Blanco is located in a delightful setting in a traditional whitewashed building typical of the Malaga region in the centre of Mijas. The restaurant can seat 60 diners in two dining rooms that feature wonderful open fireplaces, although in the warmer months diners can eat on the terrace with its splendid views over the town and the nearby mountains. The restaurant offers traditional Basque cooking using the finest seasonal ingredients. Its extensive menu changes with the seasons with specialities that include beef stew, baby squid or excellent cod, among many others. There is also a long list of wines and spirits. El Mirlo Blanco is a great choice at any time of year, whether you choose to sit by the fire on cold days or on its wonderful terrace in summer.
