Siroco *used* to be a favorite (and regular) restaurant of ours, delivering great dining experience with excellent service and beautiful food.
How all that has changed...
We now experienced surly, disinterested staff, bizarre portion control and such a variance in the standard of food served.
The Paella (for 3) was tasty but would feed 5; the Roast Cod (served with half a boiled potato!) was tough and tiny; and a fillet steak was sent back twice as it wasn't cooked as requested.
Why not have a dessert? Our party had three different desserts, which seemed to be the same white, gelatinous substance simply served in different shapes...
Porto Cristo has much better restaurants who care for clients and serve great food; give Siroco a miss.

If you want a well done steak you will struggle. Our well done steak was bloody. To send it back and wait for it to be cooked properly meant we wouldn’t eat together. My husband ate the chips and a few bits around the edge of the steak which were not bloody. It spoiled our experience. We were told probably well done is different in Spain! They refused to adjust the bill because a small part was eaten. We paid in full. Won’t go back I’m afraid.

Seating ok but staff very hectic. The care of the guests was not evenly distributed. We had a monkfish that was very good, and shells, very half of which were empty or couldn't be opened. For dessert I had oatmeal ice cream with flambéed fruit, but this was not interesting because the fruit was just warmed up.

Please avoid at all costs. I ordered a spaghetti for my two children and when I went to cut up the spaghetti I felt the temperature of the meat and it was frozen cold!! When I told the lady she didn’t even apologised she took it away came back and placed the food back on the table which was clearly the same plate of food as it had all been mixed, yet still no apology. It looked disgusting also, and they still had the audacity to make us pay for it even tho the children didn’t want to eat it ( which I’m glad they didn’t) just avoid.

There is clearly a theme here we were offered the fish of the day with a flowing description of the fish, light, flakey and only available in Mallorca. It was recommended by the waiter with no reference to the cost . Given all the dishes were in 20 to 30 euro range we unsuspectedly decided to try this catch of the day. To be honest it was pleasant but nothing special a similar taste to sea bass. When the bill arrived we charged 80 euro for the fish. We spoke to the manger who shrugged his shoulders and said that we should have asked and was unwilling to even make a small gesture in apology. We have eaten here here at least twice most years and never had a problem before however it has now joined my black list and will never return. I hope you enjoy your rip off as you have lost a good customer for ever.

The restaurant is well located with good views but the food is bland at best. My 1 star review is because we were ripped off. Most dishes on the menu cost around €20 and they list the Fish of the Day with no price. I ordered the Fish of the Day (ended up being very bland) and when our bill came that dish alone cost us €72!! We were given no indication that was the price in advance. A lame excuse was given about the cost varying day by day depending on fishing conditions but at least I would have expected them to tell me the price when I ordered it. No doubt they get away with this on a daily basis with unsuspecting tourists. So, AVOID!!!!.

Friendly staff but unclassifiable food. We ordered the "blind paella" and the "shrimps with surprise" and we were served badly cooked rice with some prawns inside and some frozen and dried up clams and some frozen prawns with a surprise sauce, all very poor quality. Avoid if you can.

Food was not particularly nice, just over edible standards. Extremely rude staff & service was poor. So expensive for what it was. Sangria was just juice with no alcohol despite telling us they made it fresh with all the right ingredients. Gave us the bill whilst I was still eating, didn’t ask if we wanted another drink or desert just rudely shooed us out. Didn’t check on us mid way through the meal either. Worst experience since we got here!

Food was not good!! Had hair in my food and was freezing cold! Also been really poorly after eating there so can only put it down to that which is a shame as it’s such a nice location but also really expensive for the quality of the food they give you, need to definitely do better as you can see why the two restaurants next door are always packed and this one is not!

We've had 2 bad experiences here - one a few years ago with a waitress who clearly did not like tourists, literally throwing menus at us and actively turning away when we tried to get her attention. The second this year with taking advantage of us as tourists and charging ridiculous amounts for plain and bland "catch of the day". They will distract you with sales patter, friendly faces and stories about them making the sangria that day, then charge you extortionate amounts of money. Plus most bug bites we've had on the island. Not worth a visit

I have eaten here three times and love the place. I had the same meal on two occasions recently because it was so damn good. The squid was the best that I have ever tasted and the black garlic sauce covering a beautiful piece of fish was simply incredible. The staff were so friendly and attentive. To top it all off the setting is lovely, overlooking the harbour. It's not the cheapest but I felt it was good value for a well presented delicious meal! No problem with payment, and they seem to be able to communicate in every language that visits. Top marks!

We wanted a nice lunch. Also got a table quickly. The intake of drinks and food did not work out so well. The waiting time for food was reasonable. The waiting time for the 2. Drink lasted about 10 minutes. It was just a beer that had been standing somewhere for too long. Sometimes we felt as if we were not present at all. The waiting time to pay took half an hour. Bad experience. Ordered Lobster fideua. Received lobster paella. Rice was nice, lobster was half eaten. Barely got any. Really poor. Asked Waiter to tell chef, had no response. Avoid this place.

Service: Nice and hospitable, knowledgable about the winelist. White tablecloth and not a place where you rush in and out. We were early for Spanish standards.
Food: Good paella second plate was not all that warm since it was not an a warm plate. it was our 1st restaurant on the island and we were quite hungry.
Location: Excellent and at the edge of all the tourist traffic. You can watch all the sail- and motor boats go in and out of the harbor.

By surprise, one of these places that are discovered by chance, and blessed chance...the prawns with sobrasada, a brilliant invention, and the boletus and fua paella, are mind-blowing.
