We went there as a couple for dinner. We had reservation. The service was very nice and we tried their own production of wine and olive oil which were delicious. The calamars à la romana were fresh and very good, the tomate bread with olive oil was delicious and as a main course, the grilled calamari, were also very good.... More

Can Rafa had the freshest fish in Cadaques and was well patronised by locals looking for quality. All the fish is very fresh and delicious, well cooked and prepared. The only drawback is it is part of the Martin Faixo group so the choice of wine is limited. That said the MF wines are very good, particularly the white, brilliant... More

We ate at Can Rafa out of season, and found the service and food to be of the good, honest, flavoursome, value for money variety. We were in the hunt for a good fidua and thier's was excellent. The service from the various family members was very warm and friendly, and efficient. We got to meet all 3 generations of... More

Nothing special. Touristy but decent. I would expected better food at this restaurant but I guess I'm picky being from France!

My wife and I were absolutely charmed by Cadaqués. We had a wonderful lunch at Talla overlooking the water and were very eager to try Can Rafa, which had been highly recommended to us by friends and our hotel (Horta d'en Rahola). The restaurant was filled with an older American demographic and we watched as Raphael, the owner's son, marvelously... More

After reviewing the fresh catch from a large pan, we picked a small snapper and had it cooked whole. They asked if we'd rather filet it but really whole fish is much tastier. Had small clams to start and their local wine which is all they serve. Our waiter was excellent, super nice and accommodating.

We were very early going out to eat at 7.30 in Spain! But had earlier completed a 16 mile walk so we were very tired and prepared to be the only diners in the place. The food was extremely good - particularly the paella. And the pudding was good - I had the taps de Cadaquet - the rum one... More
