Nice place and the apple pie is really good. The only drawback they don't accept VISA. The most beautiful time to visit is a quiet sunny afternoon.

Has been in Edam for years and serves everybody, both the tourist and the indigenous. Their specialties are sweet thinks, for good bread there are two bakers. Gorter (round the corner) and Klarenbeek, before you enter the old town.
We were spoilt for choice when it came to choosing our cakes. We opted for delicious chocolate, almond macaroons and marzipan sponge cakes. The coffee was excellent and so was the hot chocolate.
