I have visited this historic pub many times. It has developed into an excellent destination for food as well as cask ales, whilst losing none of its character; cosy and dark at one end with a bright conservatory at the other. A large room upstairs...More

The roast dinners were traditional, cajun chicken starters were very tasty. Good sunday roast dinner at a local style. One of our orders wasn't of a satisfactory standard, (the kids meal sausage), however our waitress Nicola was immediately helpful and apologetic towards the issue. Although...More

I have given this 5 stars for a pub. It is a pub full of character with an excellent selection of draft ales and a good choice of wines. It may look from the outside that it is a small, rather run down, pub but,...More

Yet again another nice tapas in the Baum. We come here often with the dog. The staff are excellent combined with the relaxed atmosphere it's the place to chill out in Rochdale

Apart from the Museum, this was the only other place we went into in Rochdale. Nice situation. Not sure about the tripe sign outside. But you enter into an almost bygone age. Great drinks and great food. Good service. What a find. I shall return.

We've eaten and drank here a fair few times and we're both great cooks so sometimes it's hit and miss food wise - but to be fair mostly *hit*. The pub itself is a quaint, antiquated place, always welcoming and full of character, the staff...More

We live a good walk away from the Baum. You can't beat the welcome you have there. Well if you like your real ales and good food you won't be disappointed

We eat out often. Found this charming little pub by accident whilst out of our usual area. Can honestly say the beef is prob best have had. Lean thick but so tender it falls to bits. Would recommend. Staff pleasant too.
