We first went to the wine center located there and got some information about the different vineyards in the area. We also had the chance to taste some special wine, the tasting was offered directly in the shop (if you ever have the chance to taste the Big Sky wine, do it!). We then went to some wine tasting. The... More

This cafe is always full but lots of seating (indoors and outside covered) and the staff are great at serving and producing excellent food. Great choice and reasonable prices. Love their Mexican beans for breakfast. They also do lunches and Friday evening pasta and pizza's. This weekend Fiona Pears was playing for a fund raiser for Kaikoura. Next to the... More

Great little café, I have been here before but it was a long time ago - we ordered a few pizzas and chips when the kitchen was about to close, and we just loved the vegge pizzas which went really well with the chilli oil sause. Always a winner. awesome to have a little place for small kids to play.

Good, fresh made on the spot food. Minestrone soup warmed me up on a cold day. Again homemade bread accompanied the lovely soap. Fun people watching and very casual. Outside seating ifsummer ever comes.

Really enjoyed the food! Was happy to have the option of Gluten Free with more than a few things. There was a group there having share platters that looked great! This wasnt my first visit and it wont be my last

We walked up to Martinborough Square for coffee to find all were closed on Boxing Day morning. Luckily The Village Cafe saved us and opened at 9am. Great coffee, loved my porridge and our family tell me the scones were lovely. They have an attached Wine Shop and there is free wifi from the library next door. Worth a visit... More

Chose this cafe out of two others nearby as it didn't look too busy. Nice place, pics show setup and posters on one side of wall. Had capuccino, average. Food ok. We drove to town from Castlepoint for a pop up market that failed to impress. Oh well, we had our feed

We dropped in here for a coffee before we headed out for a Martinborough cycle experience. My wife had the Chai Latte and its presented beautifully in a teapot. The coffee is good as well. Meals are well priced and though we didn't eat the smashed avocado looked like it was waltzing out the door.
