A lot of locals here, and a relaxed atmosphere that made it a good place to sit back and relax. We stopped for lunch on a quiet Monday. The tables are large wooden things and the seating was long benches. Food selection was surprisingly good (I had a Reuben sandwich). I'd definitely go back.

Had seen some good reviews and was eager to go. Was big disappointment. Young staff taking order and serving disengaged and not appearing to enjoy their job. Small portion of eggs came with onions in them (not mentioned on the menu), and boring plain toast drowning in butter. Muffin was dry and uninteresting. Wandered into the accompanying wine shop and... More

Great cafe, go there a lot. Always friendly and helpful. Always get your order right and out on time. Always delicious. Space for kids and right next door to the library :)

Always a good experience for us here. Kids love the fries and iced chocolates, while we love the coffee! Great to sit outside in the sun, out of the wind too.

We hit the jackpot while strolling around the village looking for somewhere to have breakfast. A great menu, all excellently prepared by the chef, and at a great price too..

The food here is fantastic, only had beacon and eggs but the best I've had, really good simple food. They could do with another person serving if the queue builds up and have a second till - as sometimes the queue is far too long and instead we head across the road to medici.

We have been to the Village Cafe a few times over the years. It is usually OK but not great. This time the service was poor and the coffee mediocre (uncleared or unwiped tables and staff with low energy).

We have been here on more than one occasion and the food and service seems to get worse. The smoothies were horrible milky flavourless drinks that we could not finished and we had to send back one breakfast for a refund. There are plenty of other options in town that give service with a smile. Avoid!

Delicious, reasonable priced food and friendly and efficient service. Loved the artwork on the walls also!

We stopped here for lunch and had a lovely antipasto platter and salad - perfect spot to take in a bit of food while tasting in Martinborough.
