We stumbled upon the Pear Tree one evening during our 4 day stay in Paihia. Food is great, setting is lovely, staff are so attentive.

We went with friends for lunch and had some good food. Three of us had fish and chips whilst the other had a salad. We each had a glass of wine. There were no starters or deserts. The bill came to about NZD 120. Not...More

The staff are very attentive without being intrusive and the food was good. The tempura oysters special was particularly enjoyed and the beef eye fillet has a great jus. Dessert menu isn’t quite as good as the rest of the menu though it’s not bad.

Nice restaurant with lovely food and great service. It was a rainy day but still nice to sit on the covered deck and look out to the water after visiting the stone store.

I had grilled fish and chips. The fish was cooked to perfection and the chips lovely and crisp. It's a great setting especially on a sunny day.

Outside seating was great. Great view of the water. Enjoyed lunch of eggs on toast with bacon . . . excellent. Service was a bit slow and they missed identified a few orders but, no worries, all were happy with their lunch!

This restaurant fails on value for money and service. Had to ask for napkins. Would not recommend at all
