Slow service, food disappointing, drab interior, have dined here a few times, and it has never been much good, the setting is the draw card, but they need to wake their ideas up, I won't be going again, been disappointed too many times.

Had a great meal here when visiting Kerikeri in July and the staff were friendly and amazingly efficient. Would describe it as fine dining but with a relaxed atmosphere, so although we'd probably only have dinner there for a special occasion it was certainly the most pleasant place we found for a quiet drink in the evening.

Great location and good food with imaginative menu. We were there in winter but it was really cosy inside and we were made very welcome by the staff.

The Pear Tree has always been our restaurant of choice whenever visiting Kerikeri but our last lunch meal there unfortunately left a bitter (or should I say salty) taste in our mouths. $20 for a burger the size of a McDonald's cheeseburger and a half a dozen chips was somewhat hard to swallow. The steak in the steak sandwich was... More

Decent meal, great setting. Not exceptional, but very solid meal in a wonderful setting, space, and view of New Zealand's heritage.

Food was wonderful (kumara and bacon soup, Squid and fish burger) and the personnel were great. We sat on the sunny balcony of the pretty building behind a transparent screen and watched the view. The food came quickly and the quality, quantity and presentation were perfect. Costs were reasonable. Coffee was great.

Lovely setting, but the service was soooo slow. It took half an hour to get our drinks and another 45 minutes for the food to arrive which was mostly salad. Nobody came to check if we were ok and it wasn't until our visiting friends went up and asked where our drinks were that they eventually brought them over. It... More

A delightful cafe opposite the Stone Store, sitting on the banks of the inlet. Lovely coffee and food. Beautiful building in historic setting and gardens.

We came for lunch. The setting is lovely. However the service was slow and the food was average nothing to rave about considering how much they charge.
