I stopped at The Ashby Inn during a bike ride over Mt. Weather. What a gem of a place!! No need to go to Paris, France, for a romantic dining experience with just about the most friendly staff you'll find. Very nice! Will return!

This is a charming inn with different rooms for dining inside and out. We dined inside and loved the French posters on the wall. The food was beautifully presented with lots of amuse bouches. This chef knows what he is doing. I of course want...More

I loved the old chef, but there's a terrific new chef, Tom Whitaker now who did a fantastic tasting menu for us. The sommelier paired wines and when I said my palate didn't jibe with the "crispness" of some Virginia whites, he found a perfect...More

We had a wonderful anniversary dinner here while guests at the inn. The sommelier went out of his way to let us taste glasses of wine we might enjoy, and the service and setting were romantic and special.

We double dated at the Ashby Inn on New Years Day. We sat in the tap room by the fireplace, and had a great time! Burgers and Cheesesteaks and coziness. Friendly service and relaxed vibe. This is a special place. Really enjoyed seeing all the...More

It's a nice place. We tend to dress up for an occasion like a dinner at the Ashby. I wore slacks, a summer sport coat, and tie. Cathie wore a nice lightweight outfit. It's a personal choice. However, "business casual... More
