My wife took me here on a Sunday because she claimed to have had the best reuben she's ever had here. Unfortunately, they have a special brunch menu on Sunday and the reuben isn't on it, but we each had the burger and it was...More

We were recommended this place by someone staying in the Luray KOA. We made reservations online (very easy) and drove the beautiful 1/2 hour ride to the old mining tow of Sperryville. Easy to find and easy parking. They offered for us to sit inside...More

You will enjoy this contemporary, relaxed restaurant. Wonderful corned beef reubens, from briskets prepared in-house. The details matter here, delicious vinaigrette, superb coleslaw, never had a mediocre meal here. Great service, too.

The Thornton River Grill is a hidden gem in Rappahannock County, serving local ingredients prepared with skill in an unassuming atmosphere. The large covered deck is delightful in good weather.

Apart from Ruby's Pizza, the only real place in town to get dinner after a long hike in Shenandoah park. Oak wood interior very comfy, not a lot of tables and with service which was a bit curt. Excellent fried goat cheese, heirloom tomatoes seasonal...More

Stopped in Sperryville for dinner and this seemed like the best option. It is quite a fancy menu even though the restaurant is not that fancy. For starters we had fried goats cheese and an arugula salad. The goats cheese came with 3 kinds of...More

Four of us stopped in on this wonderful little restaurant on a beautiful Saturday evening for a impromptu dinner. My friends wanted burgers & salads, and I had the crab stuffed sweet pepper. I'm told that the burgers & salads were excellent. I know that...More

What a pleasant surprise to find such a diverse menu and sophisticated food in what I consider a remote location. I am sorry to say that I questioned the server about the Reuben Sandwich thinking that Sperryville is not the "hotbed" of deli. However, it...More

Great food! Perfect tenderloin steak and delicious mashed potatoes and sautéed spinach. Super delicious seared scallop appetizer (only complaint is we wish there had been more than 2 scallops!) Good creme brûlée dessert!!

I like this place and I think it's a great spot for a post-hike meal -- never had any complaints or issues about the food or service, but for me, a five start review would mean a really memorable and amazing experience/meal... More

Description
Serving great American food with a worldly flair, we’re open Tuesday through Saturday from 11am to 3pm for lunch and 5pm to 9pm for dinner. We also serve a lovely brunch on Sunday from 10am to 3pm and dinner from 5pm to 8pm. The atmosphere is at the same time elegant and casual. The richness and warmth of the hand-planed wood-paneled walls provides a comfortable dining experience that can be enjoyed equally in dressy-casual attire or hiking shorts. We are located in the heart of historic Sperryville, Virginia, 75 miles west of Washington D.C., at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We look forward to serving you soon!
