A great place to enjoy traditional English pub fare made from locally sourced ingredients. We epecially liked the Bubble & Squeak and the burgers. The setting is striking, with a beautiful outdoor area and rustic interiors in an original 17th century home. It's the perfect place for lunch or dinner you're visiting Middleburg, Upperville, and other historic towns in the... More

It was the perfect ending to a nice long hike. Beer was good. The fish n chips were excellent and the complimentary bread was hit the spot. Sat outdoors on a beautiful spring afternoon. Loved the spacious garden chairs at our tables. I'll come back if I'm ever thru this way again.

English pub in the middle of Wine Country Virginia? Why not? It's on point. The food, the service, the ambiance. A Super friendly staff combined with the unique way of ordering make this place a stand out. The food menu has plenty to choose from as well as a generous beer selection to satisfy everyone. We were lucky that we... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. The ambiance is fantastic. It's a beautiful, historic tavern with great details like the menu is displayed on the wall instead of being handed to you at the table, the dinnerware is true to the feel of the tavern. The farm-to-table food is fresh, locally sourced and delicious. So glad we came here!

This place is a rare gem and a must try! It is an English Pub type of atmosphere, but the food is all from the Ayrshire Farms and organic/sustainable which really does make everything taste better! Also huge patio during nice weather and fires going during winter to add ambience.

I give Hunter's head a 5 for its atmosphere and service, but it is way overpriced. You order from a window near the entrance and the food is delivered to your table. I felt the portion size was about correct, but that the prices were about 1/3 higher than they should be considering none of the ingredients was anything special... More

Went here with our toddler and it was fantastic. It was our favorite restaurant of our vacation to the area with the set up being unique (a true English tavern feel!), the service impeccable (they could not have been nicer to our 17 month old who was running around saying hi to everyone), and the food was awesome. It's all... More

I always love my drive to Upperville. It reminds me of the English countryside with lush rolling hills, historical homes and stone walls. Approaching the pub one can't miss the red phone booth and ivy-covered archway. In the warmer months, the patio is arranged to accommodate diners. When entering the establishment, there is a chalkboard menu (just like the pubs... More

Hunter's Head is located on a very pretty drive in VA horse country. The building and inside decor is very reminiscent of an old English country pub which is its intention and it pulls off superbly. The bread is fresh, delicious and outstanding. The delivery of food is quick - for those I give it a good rating. For the... More

I look at menus and ingredients before I eat. I ask questions about where the food comes from and what's in it. I'm funny that way. I'm not interested in eating mass produced food full of pesticides, hormones, antibiotics, herbicides and bad karma from mistreated animals.. If you're like me, well then, try Hunter's Head. Not only do they offer... More
