Ate dinner there last night what a disappointment for $129 for two people. Bread was dried out, the salmon was not any better than if you bought it in the grocery store carried it home and baked it with skin on and did not cut out the dark blood line. The flounder special was ok but I have had better... More

Steiny's has always had class and style and except for a burp with a new executive chef some years ago, superb local seafood. We have been semi-regular diners there since 1981. My wife and I went there for a celebratory dinner with friends who were in town for the weekend. I have always loved the crab-stuffed shad roe seasonally there;... More

The wife and I went here on Valentine's Day weekend, after I had been there for a work dinner. Very disappointed in the service, food and overall experience. It's a shame, because my previous experience was very positive with very attentive waitstaff and top-notch food and drinks. Our server was nonexistent and only time we saw her was to take... More

My wife and I went to this restaurant for dinner to celebrate 35 years of marriage and came away disappointed. We had a reservation and were seated promptly but it went downhill from there. We ordered appetizers and entrees but once served we were forgotten. No one came to check on us or see if we were happy with the... More

If you want the absolute best shrimp in VB, this is where the locals go! Paired with a twice baked potato and their fresh variety of breads, you will have experienced dining at one of the best restaurants in VB. It's located in an old VB neighborhood on the water. You will think you've made a wrong turn until you... More

VA Beach is not known for particularly special restaurants especially in the winter season. Went there for a large group dinner which was excellent. Food and service were excellent. Highly recommended.

This is a local favorite, tucked back in a neighborhood, that has the best fried shrimp appetizer and sauce in the world! I had the filet mignon, absolutely delicious, the sauce was awesome. My wife had more shrimp- always a hit. For dessert try a drink, they have a great selection of frozen drinks. Great meal, great view, and service... More

Just recently visited Steinhilber's with my husband and parents. I was very excited to go with them as it had been awhile since I last visited but was very good. My mom had made reservations for an early dinner and a window seat and was told that would be no problem as it didn't get busier until later. My husband... More

I know Steinhilber's is known for their fried shrimp. They were incredible as usual. The sauce takes it over the top. Had some fried oysters this time. I am very critical of these. They were plump and juicy. Perfectly prepared. I usually order all seafood but had heard about the on site aged prime steaks. I ordered the tomahawk steak.... More

We were seated at a lovely table for 12 in the back. First let me say coming to "Steiny's" is a must for any local worth their salt, at least once. A lot of the charm is that it hasn't changed very much since 1939. I like that although it's a "white linen" establishment you can feel comfortable in jeans... More
