This was our second year in a row dining at this restaurant and it was another great experience. The food was excellent. I had the salmon and it was cooked perfectly and served with a great presentation. We definitely will return to this restaurant again!

We ate here once and would probably not go back. Not because it was terrible food or anything but it is not kid friendly. I do not recall a kids menu and we had quite a time selecting something for them. The food was delicious, just not our style. It's a bit more "upscale" then we are used to.

We were told to expect a 30-45 minute wait, being a Friday night. We sat at the bar and had the Crab nachos. Outstanding. We were seated after 20 minutes and were treated by a friendly staff with good food. This is a really good place to go while visiting Virginia beach.

We arrived in Virginia Beach for our first visit in the early evening. We were hungry and had read about Tautogs. We were encouraged to see so many people waiting to get in. We were fortunate to be seated right away since we were only two. Our server was prompt, friendly, gave great advice and was very attentive. The food... More

There is a reason the line is around the block for this restaurant- it is amazing! This restaurant is in a house, and the food is fresh an uniquely crafted. I do not even like seafood, but everything smelled so good I figured I would try something mild. We got the tuna which was cooked perfectly like medium rare steak,... More

Flounder in a bag. What more can I say? The food here is consistently excellent, the atmosphere from being located in an old beach cottage is super and the wait staff I have found to be very attentive. Usually we go for the spinach and artichoke appetizer and then pick a choice off of the seafood laden menu. They have... More

Don't know why this restaurant is so popular. Food is good but not excellent. Tuna sashimi was not that fresh. Ginger and seafood combination with tuna and the way the dish presented was really strange. Most of all, we had the terrible server. We won't go back there again. There are better restaurants.

Excellent restaurant. Worth the wait. Healthy and full of flavour dishes. I would definitely say a high caliber restaurant and not too too expensive (compared to Montreal)

I went on Friday night kinda of late. They were really busy. The gentleman in the parking area was very helpful. He got us parked. Once inside things went very well. We put our name on the list and it was a 45 minute wait. Lucky, we found a place at the bar and ended up just eating there. The... More

Menu choices are boring. We showed up as soon as they opened and then sat for 15 minutes waiting for our server. I chose the Flounder in a Bag. It tasted like boiled fish with zero seasoning or flavor. We came here on a recommendation and were sorely disappointed.
