We arrived early for our reservation and the table was ready for us. The waiter promptly filled our drink order and took our food selection. It was served as we finished each course timed correctly. Butter and bread was replenished without a word.

La Yaca is one of the best restaurants in town. It has a beautiful atmosphere as well as a lovely patio when the weather permits. The food Is consistently delicious. The service is excellent. This is a great restaurant in which to celebrate special occasions.

Thursday night is probably the best night at La Yaca. They prepare their lamb in an open fire in their hearth. The lamb is "extra special" and isn't prepared / served like this in any restaurant that I know of. Remember Thursday night's!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The waiter was friendly and efficient. There were numerous choices so we all decided to try something different, and everyone loved their choice.

Through changing venues, new owners, and years of time, La Yaca provides the same fabulously delicious meals it started with. Every dish is beautifully plated and served hot or cold as required. My recent visit with my husband and another couple was declared an epicurean...More

We wanted to go out for a fancy dinner while in Williamsburg for the weekend, and we were not disappointed! The ambiance upon walking in is upscale yet welcoming. We still opted for the patio, since Fall weather was perfect, and enjoyed the hanging string...More

I was sorely disappointed in this restaurant. First: the service leaves something to be desired. We arrived to find the hostesses dressed rather casually for a restaurant that requires a jacket. The hostess asked if we had a reservation. Not remembering whose name I used,...More

There were 11 of us celebrating our 40th college reunion. The restaurant was wonderful. Everyone loved their meals and the service for our rather large group was wonderful. We all thought the Pre Fixe meals were not only great but a great bargain. We will...More

Their website doesn't show a wine list. I suggest that you call them (757 220-3616 for Williamsburg location).

Yes, they do. I have a relative who is gluten free and looking at the menu we decided it is a place they can eat.

Description
Le Yaca began in a tiny, country village(Courchevel)in the French Alps in 1964.Daniele Bourderau & Gerard decided that it would be fun to open a small restaurant. When friends learned of their plans they told the hopeful restaurateurs that they were crazy to think that people would drive 8 kilometers on a winding, icy road for dinner.Daniele and Gerard hesitated for 3 months and then decided: “yaca le faire,” a contraction of the French phrase “ il n’y a qu’a le faire” which basically means “let’s do it.” They called the restaurant Le Yaca as a gag. But the name caught on with customers, who were amused by the pun and contributed to the restaurant’s lore by inventing “yaca-isms ” of their own: yaca y aller (let’s go). Daniele came to the United States & opened Le Yaca in Williamsburg.Daniel Abid bought le Yaca in 2001. Daniel worked and trained in such prestigious places as “Le Pre Catelan” and “Lenotre” in Paris; “L’Amandier” and “Roger Verge" and to top it all off “Alain Ducasse.”
