I and a few family members, who were visiting Williamsburg, decided to eat lunch here during an early afternoon. We were seated quickly, and the wait staff was very pleasant and attentive. The restaurant was very clean overall, and the atmosphere pleasant ~ had a botanical-type theme going on with the decor. Not your ordinary type of menu fare ~... More

We had an early dinner at this restaurant. They are known for the shrimp and grits, which I ate. The salad was large enough to split, at the advice of our server. The food had great flavor and the main dining room was very atmospheric. It's somewhat formal, although various attire was present.

Delicious food and the wait staff was very professional. Greeted politely and warmly by the host staff and we were seated quickly. We had reservations so there was no wait for a table. Our waiter was timely in greeting us and very knowledgeable about the menu. Never felt rushed and able to enjoy each course before the next was delivered.... More

My friends and I walked over to the Market Square shopping area from Colonial Williamsburg for lunch as we did not want to eat at one of the taverns. The first place we looked at was only open for dinner so we headed across the at to try this place. They were not too busy when we arrived and were... More

This place can get crazy busy but once you get seated things usually go pretty smooth. The food is good.

We sat outside and enjoyed dinner on a lovely Sunday evening after a long day of walking around colonial Williamsburg. The food really exceeded expectations. Everything was delicious! Unfortunately, the service was painfully slow and it wasn't even overly crowded. The prices were a bit higher than what I would classify for a bar and grill, but the food again... More

Just outside of Historic Colonial Williamsburg, is this restaurant with excellent food and great service. One of my favorites in the area, it can be accessed from inside the historis attraction or from the opposite direction just on the other side of the historic grounds.

I arrived by train overnight fromNYC and decided to have breakfast for the first time IN HWB. It was quiet outside and the perfect ambiance for a little relaxation after an 8 hour train ride. Very kind servers and the breakfast was delicious.

has a nice outside seating area but seats are very uncomfortable. service was a little slow and most tables seemed to wait a long time for food. Salads and soups were fairly good although soups should have been served warmer. The burger on a brioche bun was the highlight. did not have any desserts which they are known for. our... More
