We're locals, been here a number of times. Nice people, good service, good food. Biscuits are terrible. Not fluffy southern style, not sure what style. We felt rushed by the server. She was nice, but made us feel like we had to hurry. She went away quickly when we were trying to figure out what we wanted. It was ok,... More

Even though we live in the area, we just didn't go there until a few friends wanted to go for breakfast/brunch after church. I found the service to be poor and the portions were too small for the cost. I have never gone back.

Went here for lunch before beginning our tour of the Jamestown and Yorktown area. Arrived about 15 or 20 minutes past noon. Very crowded and had to wait about 20 minutes, but it was definitely worth the wait. Terrie had the chicken and dumplings, our daughter had the BLT and I had Miss Melodies special. It was all very good. Terries... More

Virginia ham was amazing. Children loved their pancakes. Table was beautiful, service was quick and coffee was hot. Btw the biscuits were not the shape we were used to but they tasted like my great grandmother's and she was an amazing southern cook.

Delicious meal and very attentive service. Try the fresh biscuits. Can be busy at prime times. Given tour of house that restaurant is in by manager.

Was on a bus tour and the driver stopped here for lunch. Others had told me about this place so I was glad that we did. It was the best food we had in our stay in Williamsburg. Always try to stay clear of the chain restaurants and try more of the local flavor, a little tough to find and... More

I always say if the locals say this is the place to go, that's a tell tale sign. This is a great restaurant and antiques store combined. Service was outstanding and the owner introduced us to her team, and thanked each one. Big time leadership in a small business. The fruit salad was true southern, soup and ham on home... More

If you're a foodie, or even if you're not, don't miss the mouth watering Virginia ham, pancakes and other delights at the Old Chickahominy House. We go there every time we're in the area. Open for breakfast and for lunch, it also has a terrific gift shop that's loaded with treasures at reasonable prices. It's very close to colonial Williamsburg,... More
