My husband booked this restaurant during our weekend in Williamsburg. Our reservation was for 8pm, and although we strolled around the area and spent time in the bookstore close by, we arrived at the restaurant half an hour early. We thought we’d sit at the...More

We had scheduled a Ghost Tour and we had a little time to get something to eat. We ask the hostess if we could get served and eat in 45 minutes. She ask the manager what could be prepared quickly for us. We looked the...More

Our meal was fresh and prepared perfectly. We felt welcome from the moment we entered. The atmosphere was lively. Seating was comfortable. Our waiter could not be any nicer - very personable and attentive. We will be back next time we are in town.

We enjoyed a cool evening out on the terrace people-watching. The service was excellent, with martini and G&T expertly prepared. Our server was very professional. My husband had the patio special pasta, which he loved, and I had expertly-prepared scallops. Would eat there again in...More

We have been fans of Fat Canary since it opened, and have faithfully returned on every visit to Williamsburg. Now that we are residents, we'll be able to enjoy it more often. We recently celebrated our anniversary at the Fat Canary. They always seem to...More

We have now dined here, usually for special occasions, and every time, the meals were spot-on, as too the service. Some might say the menu tends to the pricey side, but it is also expected. Be sure to mention any special occasion, anniversary, birthday, etc,...More

We were told this was the best spot to dine in Colonial Williamsburg and it proved true. We received an autographed menu by the staff with Happy Anniversary wishes, wrapped in a ribbon. Professional service, personable, charming and attentive. A great way to kick off...More

Yes, it's quite good. It's not cheap. I'm not sure Williamsburg needs a place that's high end, pricy, but not as great as a truy exceptional restaurant. But it's certainly a nice place

This restaurant is the best in Williamsburg. Excellent food and service. Expensive but well worth it.

Fat Canary is an exceptional restaurant - and will offer you a variety of options. Anything you select will meet the highest standards. It is not a steakhouse - I’m in Bangalore and jet lagged. My last response was confusing. More

Description
This high-energy bistro took over as Williamsburg's best restaurant as soon as it opened in 2003. The sophisticated but relaxed dining room has an open kitchen, which uses fresh, local ingredients for its creative American fare. The dining bar and seasonal outdoor patio seating are on a first come basis. Reservations for the dining room are recommended and may be made up to 2 months in advance. Open daily for dinner, a hostess is available during the day to take reservations.
