I'm kind of surprised this place exists, in that Williamsburg has a small airport for private planes (maybe 10 parked at any time) that is about 5 miles from Colonial WIlliamsburg. This really is a plain little place inside the airport with good soups and sandwiches that always seems busy (seating maybe 25-30 people total). It is very homey place... More

We were pleasantly surprised by this little out of the way restaurant. They had an extensive menu with several seafood dishes that were also good. Yummy homemade desserts. Delicious black bean soup served with awesome multi grain bread. We were a party of 9 so we tried lots on the menu and everyone enjoyed their choice.

Charly's is located at our municipal airport and is a lunch favorite of many people that fly in with their private planes. Charly's has daily specials and always has some great soups and sandwiches.

This is a little local café at the Williamsburg Airport. Outside tables by runway or limited inside seating. Great homemade pies . . .usually 4 to 6 a day . . . we had a Tuna & Pineapple sandwich on Bavarian bread with a slice of coconut crème pie. We could have had hot bumbleberry with ice cream . .... After visiting Jamestown and looking for a different restaurant that was close, we stumbled onto Charley's and so glad we did. There were 9 of us and we were all pleased

Even though the place was crowded when we came and they were also serving a meeting upstairs, the staff was friendly and personable. There were comfortable chairs to sit down and gift shops to distract. Once seated, had a great view of the planes. Sandwiches are oversized and delicious especially paired with the homemade daily Bavarian bread. The paved road... More

Flew in to meet friends for lunch. Had a nice greeting with the owner's daughter. Service was quick and refills were frequent. The view over the runway allowed us to watch planes come and go. Definitely nice for pilots and those interested in aviation.

What a nice place. I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch there. Out of the way, and far better than I imagined. Make the trip to Ch alleys, you will not regret it.

Flew into Williamsburg today and ate at Charly's. Though crowded they managed to seat us fairly quickly and the waitress was there to take care of us. They have entered the modern age taking orders with I pads, it goes straight to the cook and prints out no waiting. We both ordered sandwiches on the dark bread. I had a... More

I have eaten lunch at Charly's a number of times, sometimes with a group and sometimes with just another person, and have always had great service and excellent food at a reasonable price. They make a variety of fresh breads daily for the large selection of sandwiches on the menu. The brown bread has become my favorite. Outdoor seating which... More
