We went down to Bellingham to explore the Black Friday sales and upon the suggestion of a fellow Canadian Shopper visited the Home Skillet for lunch, We both ordered the Barnyard (chicken fried steak with bacon and egg). A very hearty breakfast it was.

It takes several minutes to just take in the exterior of the building and the interior left me quite speechless. This is a fun place with good food but be prepared to wait for your table. We went on a rainy Saturday morning and were frankly dripping when finally seated. Our hosts told us it was worth the wait and... More

If I have someone with me who has never eaten a 'rocking superb' breakfast, I always take them to Homeskillet. There are not enough adj. to describe the food, let alone the decor. In short, you will be hypnotized by both. As you walk away, you be full of great food and memories of a 'funky' great place.

Must admit when I read reviews on this spot on another site, I had some misgivings. Sounded like there were lots of rules (cannot accept more than 4 people / no substitutions) and perhaps a fair amount of attitude. But the actual food reviews were good so we decided to drive down from Surrey, B.C. and have a look for a... Best corned beef hash I've ever had! Expect to feel a little rushed though. They want you enjoy your food then move on. Very busy place even during the week. Would definitely go back next time I'm passing through.

I overheard one of my customers recommending this restaurant to a Canadian who had never been to Bellingham. I was surprised that I had never heard about it. I kept it in the back of my mind to try at some point and finally seeing it on the top list of restaurants from trip advisor I went to try "the... More

The food is really good and enhanced by the whacky decor and ambiance...including Velveeta the giant chicken outside.

Located in a small, former home; this place is PACKED on the weekend. Food is really good and very generous. Best to go with no more than 4 people as space is limited. You'll probably have to wait. Bellingham diners are picky and if quality slips, they stop going. So far, this place is very popular. Filled with funky art.

We live in the Portland metro area and everybody knows PDX's motto is "Keep Portland Weird" meaning weird in a good way. Homeskillet would fit right in with the best of PDX's restaurants & cafes. Their corn beef hash is the best I can ever remember having. I read some bad reviews on the staff, all I can tell you... More
