Absolutely starving on our way back to BC and stumbled on this Bar and Grill. Looks like nothing special from the outside but reminds me of a Midwest drinking hole you frequent after work or to watch a game. Asked for recommendation...fried chicken and Jojo potatoes. Unreal. $9.99 for 1/2 chicken. Crispy outside and hot and juicy inside. Everything was... More

This is a sort of grubby spot, I admit, just off I-5. A real tavern with some ehhhhh pool tables and NFL games on every Sunday, darts, and a decent selection of beer and other beverages. The reason to go, though, is the food. Burgers, seafood and sandwiches are all tasty and well prepared.

Great salad, crappy bartender and the cook was complaining about having to cook pesto.. the awesome salad I choose!

The cutest and quaint little tavern just off the freeway and tucked romantically in the mountainside. Very adorable setting.

We found this place after striking out at the casino while looking for a good place to watch the game. If you're looking for a cold beer, not the coldest but it'll get the job done.

Stopped in again on the way to somewhere and enjoyed a nice, cold beer (they have a few on tap with a full bar) and burger and their sandwich special of the day- a Philly Cheese Beef- which was very good. I don't like their fries- they are crinkled and too cooked- but at least they were those darned "seasoned"... More

Four of us went to the Alger Tavern last night for dinner and ordered clam chowder because it was recommended to us by a friend and it was very good. We also ordered super nachos and wings. The super nachos were absolutely disgusting and between the 4 of us we couldn't eat them. The chips were soggy and there was... More

My husband and I had seen the sign for this restaurant on the freeway many times and decided to try it out. The food was good and the service was outstanding! Our server, Gloria, was very personable and also very efficient. Our food arrived hot and she even split our clubhouse sandwich into separate plates to make it easier for... More

I've eaten here a few times in the past 2 years, and enjoyed it after hiking, sometimes with a group of ten. Burgers decent, Potatoe skins and onion rings good, service variable, and prices reasonable. Don't expect decent wine, sparkling water or hard ciders, (or even good service, depending on the day) but people watching with the locals is worth... More

This little tavern has a new young chef who does some great specials – not only are the burgers and baskets large portions and are good value there are also some fun specials during the week but have been pleasant surprises – if you go in and it's quiet don't let that fool you the food is good value and...
