We go at least a few times a year since this is a local place for us. Only a couple times has something not been the way we asked, and they always fix it promptly. Only dish we've ever had that we did not like, was a shrimp quesadilla, but that was our own tastes, not something they could have fixed.

This was our second visit to a Rancho Chico. The first time was 10 years ago in Omak. The second time in Colville was just as good. We had a nice corner near the window which got a lot quieter once the people waiting nearby got seated. The décor is like a lot of Mexican restaurants. It is very well done. We had a great server who took care of us. I ordered the Rancho Chico Burrito with beef. It can be considered the usual signature standard burrito with a bit more ingredients, but it was pretty good. No complaints from the other orders. The restaurant can be easily found in downtown Colville with easy street parking. I think Rancho Chico is the only sit down Mexican restaurant in Colville, but it is a good one.

Spent the day digging up weeds, finding more time with large rocks in the garden that had to come out. The wife and I were dead tired. Went into Rancho Chico greeted with a friendly welcome. Limited bar selection. Salsa and chips. Ample and salsa medium to hot. Dinner came after a brief wait while munching down the light and thin chips. Dinner servings were more than adequate. Served hot from the kitchen Fajitas on one plate, rice beans sour cream avocados and lettuce on another. A third smaller plate to do your mixing on. The thin and smooth tortillas came separately also still hot from the kitchen. Unlike the type you would get at the grocery store. Our meals filled, satisfied and renewed us. Will be back.

Food is good, but disappointed recently on my mom’s 60th birthday. I called in a reservation for 20 people for 7 P.M. I had family traveling from Republic, Spokane, and Idaho. I understand that they had a busy night so even though service was slow, we understood. However, my dad asked several times for guacamole and never got it. When the waiter took our orders, he started with my family of four first, we had 5 sets of families ordering. When we got our food, we did not get any rice. The waiter never bothered to let us know that they were completely out of rice for the night and gave some of our party rice and some with no rice but there was no discount off of our ticket for not having what we asked for. I usually like coming here but this was a huge disappointment for a huge milestone birthday party for my mom. It’ll be a while before we come back here again. I know my family will not be back.

I don’t understand how this Mexican food can have no flavor where everything tastes the same. Of course I’ve had very good Mexican food in my life living the first 13 years of my life in SoCal where the food is out of this world. I still go to rancho chico because it’s all we have in the area but tend to be disappointed.

Great location, menu and atmosphere. The painted murals were well done as well. The entrees we ordered were so underseasoned that it was difficult to recognize it as Mexican cuisine. What was up with the pico de gallo - it looked like coleslaw. So wanted something more authentic.

We traveled from Los Angeles (I am not from California FYI) to return back to home. It has been some years since I have been back. My wife and I were craving some authentic Mexican Food, and wow we found it. They have great service and everything we tried was awesome. Lots of good flavors that make you wish you had a second stomach. The only thing that they did not have was Lingua. But I understand why. I can not wait to come back.

Rancho Chico was recommended to us by our hotel and they didn't disappoint. We were traveling with 2 small children and, of course, right away one of them spilled their drink. The staff quickly cleaned it up with a smile. Then the food came. It was outstanding! This restaurant is a true gem. We highly recommend them!

I've called a 100 times to try and make an order for pickup. No one will answer the phone, always busy. Dine in or take out but can't call it in. I like the food, obviously, but frustrated that they never answer the phone.

**AVOID IF YOU HAVE FOOD ALLERGIES**We came to Colville to take my MIL to lunch for her birthday and Racho Chico was a favorite of family who live in the area. My daughter ordered a Signature Rancho Enchilada that was listed on the menu as having their "signature enchilada sauce". After 5 bites she began to have an allergic reaction to something she was eating. Her mouth began to swell, and I took her to the truck for medications. My daughter has an anaphylactic PEANUT ALLERGY. When other family asked the waitress, she stated that there was PEANUT in the "special enchilada sauce". We left and took her strait to the hospital where she was treated with IV medications and monitored for several hours. Our daughter has had a known PEANUT ALLERGY for over 20 years and is always diligent about what she eats. Mexican food has always been safe for her and nowhere on the menu did it disclose there were PEANUTS in the sauce, nor have we ever encountered PEANUT as an ingredient in Mexican food. After she was released from the hospital I called and spoke to a gentleman who stated he was the manager. I wanted him to be aware of the situation and suggest changes to their menu listing PEANUTS in the sauce to avoid another person having an anaphylactic reaction with worse possible outcomes. He started off by saying that it was the customer's responsibility to ask if PEANUTS were present in the enchilada sauce and it was our fault for not asking. I advised that PEANUTS are one of the top 9 food allergens per the FDA and a small change to their menu could save a life. He never asked how our daughter was and simply went on that it was our fault for not asking. I was flabbergasted and ended the call stating that I would call the owner the next day. I was willing to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt that they were not aware of how dangerous undisclosed PEANUT ingredients can be, but their attitude was completely unacceptable. **AVOID IF YOU HAVE FOOD ALLERGIES**
