very average -- would not return -- took a visiting friend from out of town and ate there again with a business associate -- both experiences were disappointing.

I visited El Puerto for the first time on a visit to Edmonds in January 2013. Although the restaurant was completely full and very busy, I found the level of service to be exceptional. Despite the crowd, the staff seemed to be providing very attentive service to all guests. My order was served very quickly, and I found the food... More

The portions here are superior and the flavors are very good. The salsa can be a bit hot for some but not for me.

Our first time in town 22 years ago we ate at the El Puerto Mexican Restaurant. We have been eating there regularly (almost weekly) ever since. Their food is CONSISTENTLY delicious. In fact, I told the owner, Ramon, that I was mad at him. He asked why. I told him I can't enjoy Mexican food when traveling because nothing is... More

We liked the varied menu. The service was quick but we didn't feel rushed. The location is good too--right downtown Edmonds.

We've eaten here about 5-6 times. The food is average - nothing special. The staff is always very nice. If you're looking for better Mexican food in Edmonds, Las Brisas down the street is a better bet all the way around.

If you know mexican food, this is the best place for tortilla soup. Yes, the decor is a bit dated. However, the tortillas are made there. The soup is made for scratch, using dark meat. My wife and I go in there just for the soup. Not too salty, as in other places. You can have them hold down the... More

This place has great Mexican food. Everything I've ever ordered has come out hot and covered in cheese and fabulous. With a large dining room, we have never had to wait to be seated, and service is good.

There were several selections on the menu that could be easily modified to be made vegan. I had the California burrito which was good altho I like my green peppers cooked a little more. It was a huge portion and very filling. I found the service attentive.

Salsa..they opened a can of hunts chopped tomatoes and put in a blender.. They need to back to Guadalahara again to take cooking lessons...assuming with the new relocated mex resturant near them they may step up to the plate. Or hire a different chef. And a new cocinara. Lo siento amigos.
