My mother, sister and brother came here for brunch on Saturday morning. None of us have been here before and decided to try a new place. It was busy when we arrived so we did wait a little bit for a table but no problem. Once we were seated it did take a little bit to get coffee and water... More

This was a bit of a disappointment to my husband and me. I gave it a three star mostly because based on other reviews, this place should have been good. I'm thinking we got an off day/meal. The plus of this restaurant was the staff. So nice. The restaurant is small, but it seems cozy. Now for the not so... More

I've been to Kate's with family and with friends. It's convenient, easy to find and good street parking. The food is very good, the service is fast and friendly. All that and good prices. It's a breakfast and lunch diner which is comfortable for all ages. It's been a while since I was there and certainly look forward to the... More

I have never had a bad meal here! The staff are fast, Kate herself is a peach of a woman, and most of all the food is high quality with big portions. I devoured the Greek eggs with gyro meat, feta, tomatoes, and spinach and it was amazing. It also came with toast and hash browns.

Based on the reviews, we decided to try this place; previous readers are right. This place is friendly, not very big in size but serve good decent portioned breakfasts. The service was good and fast. Don't expect anything fancy and you can expect to wait on weekends due to its popularity.

My wife was out of town so I went solo. First time at Kate's. I was looking around for an empty small table. A lady (customer) waved and pointed at empty chairs at a long table. One of those places where you are welcome at the table whether you know anyone or not. Very welcoming, especially for a first timer.... More

We were referred to Kate's by our hotel" Inn at Port Gardner". I had blueberry pancakes plus eggs and bacon. The food and service was exceptional. It was a totally awesome experience and the price was very reasonable.

Met a friend here who recommended this little place. Parking might be a pain during the week with work parking but Saturday morning was good. Enjoyed the coffee and my breakfast omelet. Friend got French toast, which looked amazing. Will bring my hubby here soon.

The Greek part doesn't show up much for breakfast here, but that is fine with me. The bacon and cheese omelet is huge and super tasty and the hash browns equal anybody's. Fresh jam on the table for the toast. We eat here almost every weekend and I judge any other breakfast by the fare at Kate's.
