Standard Mexican restaurant, far above the fast food type of place. They have a wide selection to fit most every taste including things the kids will like.

The first visit after the remodel was very positive last summer of 2016 however, I visited with a friend for lunch in March 2017 but the food was quite bland. The server seemed inattentive and rushed. I wanted to pay with a credit card but the system was down. The server suggested I write down my credit card number for... More

Occasionally we head over hear after MixxedFit Class at Harbor Dance and it's fun: great drinks and hearty Mexican food (if a bit heavy). But I am especially happy with their renovation: it's beautiful. And their Bar and Outdoor dining is a treat now. We recently went there for Sunday Brunch and it was EXCELLENT! It included a huge selection... More

I have been to the Puerto Vallarta in Kingston and Port Orchard. Good experience at each, tasty food. The Gig Harbor location is a one and done. Never again will I eat there. Poor, lackadaisical service is one thing, the food was lukewarm at best. Very disappointing when you work outside and look forward to having a nice hot lunch.

Puerto Vallarta has an outstanding renovated deck and fireplace to keep you warm on a cool night. The bar area has been renovated with four booths with beer taps at your table. The wait staff is outstanding and the food is pretty good.

Our server Samantha was absolutely wonderful. That said our two entrees were marginal at best. The Mini Steak Tacos were basically inedible. Very disappointing experience. We may return someday, or not. The soap dispenser in the Men's Washroom did not work which raises questions regarding sanitation.

This restaurant does offer large portions. You and everyone you see will have leftovers to take home. Their table chips are great, served with salsa and refried beans. The rice with my dinner was great, a food that's usually overlooked in Mexican places. The enchiladas were creamy. If you order the table-side preparation of guacamole ($8), know the recipe ahead... Really good Mexican food served in a pleasant atmosphere; it was definitely better than I had expected. I enjoyed everything on the #19 combo platter: chile relleno, taco, enchilada (picadillo filling) and bean tostada. I don't know what they use for the sweet-n-sour mix in the margaritas, but it is delicious. I also appreciated the easy parking/access.

Make sure that when you go here that you are hungry. We wasted a lot of food, there was so much. We should have probably shared. The margaritas were awesome. The food was very good.

A family group of adults met here to watch the Seahawks game and have some beers and lunch. Service was friendly and very good. The drinks, appetizers and lunch were excellent and it was a fun place to watch the game. LOTS of viewing screens so it was easy to watch from wherever you sat.
