This more of a place to grab a sandwich, an espresso or cup of coffee, some soup, or a chunky cookie than it is a bakery. At least the kind of bakery with showcases of elegant baked goods, beautifully decorated cakes, and things with a heavenly scent that draws you from a block away. The kind of stuff that you... More

Best cake by the slice. The lunch is good too but I can't get past the great desserts. I always like having a cup of coffee with my cake inside Third Place Books and also taking a slice home for later - like I said, a guilty pleasure.

We live nearby and frequent this place quite regularly. They have a wonderful menu featuring many comfort foods as well as good for you items. They also have a good espresso coffee menu.

This is a great place to go and chat with friends while grabbing a coffee. I wouldn't recommend the chai; the one time I had it it was watery and not great. I also think the cookies are excellent, but I've tried the cupcakes on two different occasions and they were dry. The cookies have always been fabulous though. I... More

Honey Bear Bakery is a great place to go for coffee and pastry, as well as having excellent lunches. Limited gluten free choices, but they will make a sandwich without the bread.

My husband and I were on our way to a meeting and only had a few minutes for breakfast. We looked all around and did not want "fast food". We remembered that Third Place Books had a bakery in the building. Well, the Honey Bear Bakery is now our "breakfast place"! Wow-I've tried croissants in every single restaurant or bakery that... Have been here many times, and can't say anything negative about it! They have beautiful baked goods, delicious sandwiches, soups and salads, great coffee and espresso drinks, and all at a reasonable price. Next to a wonderful book store, and many other great little shops and restaurants. Good place to meet a friend for lunch!

This is part of the Greater Wonderfulness that is Town Center in Lake Forest Park. The coffee and pastries are tasty, as are the lunch offerings. Adjacent to Third Place Books and the public gathering area, this is a nice place to stop and grabbacuppacoffee.

Stopped here when shopping in the mall, and one of my favorites, the gingersnap cookies looked so good. To offset the spicy, I added a cup of hot chocolate. I am just waiting for my next visit to Lake Forest Park, but it will be hard to decide whether to stay with the known, or perhaps branch out to another... More
