Good selection of German food. We had huge pretzels with homemade alpine cheese sauce, Schnitzel Cordon Bleu, Jagerschnitzel and the Knackwurst. They were all very good! Loved the spatzel noodles. Staff was very friendly and atmosphere was like being in Germany.

We had several kinds of schnitzels, and all were great. The red cabbage and spaetzle were very good, too. The best part was the ambiance. They had an accordionist, German beer flowing from taps and long tables like in a Bavarian tavern. The staff was...More

Best Wienerschnitzel, just like in Germany when we visited. Staff friendly and nice atmosphere . We ordered smaller plate and you could substitute items like German Potato Salad for Fries for $2 .

Friend said for great German food, go to Keller's. Food was mediocre at best...schnitzel was very good...Otoberfest chicken overdone (probably reheated), red cabbage over cooked and overly sweet...German potatoo salad - no bacon, little vinegar or onion, just a mound of slice potato...service prompt and...More

Staff were tons of fun and we accepted the waiters suggestion and enjoyed our dinners. I didn't live the warm red cabbage but my friends did and they devoured mine. Excellent grapefruit beer!

We were here in April 2017 on a guys night out. We got the place recommended by the hotel - we had the Wienerschnitzel, Wienerschnitzel Cordon Bleu and a Jaegerschnitzel. All good, albeit it's made of pork and not veal as in Bavaria. The Apfelstrudel...More

Was this restaurant formerly called the Rathskeller? I ate there years ago and think it was named that because it was in a basement setting.

This family-owned business has been bringing Bavaria to Leavenworth for over 25 years. The chef, Anita Hamilton, has been personally overseeing the kitchen since 1991 and is a native of Germany. The made-from-scratch desserts, soups and entrees are reminiscent of traditional Gasthaus fare. The owner, Heidi Forchemer, travels to Germany yearly for new menu ideas. Her son, Max, can be heard playing his button accordion most weekends, along with other local musicians, such as Tom Tilton of the Alpenfolk band. It simply doesn't get more authentic than this!
