Great place!!! we stopped her on our way back from Vancouver. Had the prime rib sandwich it was excellent and the service was great too. Great place to stop for lunch on your way back to Seattle.

Seems like a very tired black angus restaurant from the 80s. Quite a few cars in the parking lot but sure didn't see them inside. Food was not bad but also not great. Next time I would take a pass on it and go to a more contemporary place.

We had been to Max Dale's some time ago and enjoyed it, so decided to try it again. If anything, it has improved from it's already high standards. I had the pork chop with honey bourbon glaze, served with crisp gold potatoes and fresh asparagus. The chop was one of the thickest cuts I have ever bitten, and the glaze... More

We have enjoyed this fine restaurant off and on over 55 years and I don't believe we have ever left with the feeling of "we will never come back". Even though Max has passed on his fine legacy is here. I had a steak, rare, with baked potatoe and Skagit Valley fresh vegetables. It was obvious the steak had been... More

Max Dales is our 'go-to' place when we visit Mt Vernon. Never had a bad meal there. Always top notch! It's quiet and comfortable.

Popped in for dinner after a long day of work and travel and really enjoyed the quiet, elegant, yet rustic, atmosphere. Friendly staff and a simply prepared, very tasty steak with traditional fixings was just what I needed.

We had a small family Easter dinner in one of their side rooms. It's very nice that you can have a private dining experience and have excellent service at the same time. As usual the food was good, we come back because they have consistent quality both in their menu and service.

Great salmon and meat dishes. Love the food and atmosphere. The salmon dishes are my favorite. Fresh greens and really great flavors. So much to choose from! Great space for meetings and large gatherings too.

This place has been around a long time. 35 years that I know of. Nice big bar for the over 21 crowd...or dining without children. Full bar, great wine list, and a great locally sourced menu. You can enjoy a delicious meal for about $35-$60 per person. Hope this helps...

The prime rib here is really the best. I rarely eat anything else on the menu, everything that I've tried has been great. The prime rib is the best thought, by far! Ranch dressing is also excellent. Desserts are mediocre.
