Drive to the coast every month and decided to stop for late lunch. Googled good fish and chips and it took us to fish tale pub. I had fish and oysters. Really good. I'd had more oysters if i wasent so full. Appreciate the very hot fries as most restaurants serve just warm. Oh and by the way the beer... More

Casual, delicious, fresh, eclectic, and did I say delicious. Let's just say, the cafè has a waiting line that goes down the block on Mother's Day.

Everything a brew pub should be. They always have a great selection of beer and ale that is brewed on site. Everyone should be able to find something on the food menu that will appeal to them. The interior is nothing fancy because the business is built around good food and great beer. Couple all that with a friendly staff... More

We drive through Olympia often, but never down Jefferson--a bicyclist's natural aversion to parallel railroad tracks, I suppose. We had heard of the Fish Tale, but had to look it up, finally, finding it hidden in plain site just off Legion. It was worth the hunt: good brews, good food, and a family-friendly dining area away from the bar. Even... More

Fish Tale is THE place for a local Olympia brew. Try from their selection of taps and enjoy fish or traditional pub food. Good for couples in the bar area as well as families with restaurant seating up and downstairs.

Been here many times and never disappointed. Large variety of beer and their cider took a national Best award. The food is always very good. If I'm eating in another restaurant and see their beer on the menu I'll usually order it.

My search continues in WA for a solid British-style fish and chips place. Although this restaurant offers a pleasant atmosphere and a family section away from the bar, super service and nicely flavored food it does not meet the standards of a true British fish and chips place. (Floors could be a bit cleaner.) Nice outdoor dining.

Fish Tale is located in the downtown area with ample parking. It's a favorite spot for locals so plan to arrive early. I had the fried oysters w/ chips and slaw. Cooked to perfection with no oily aftertaste. As a brew pub, the ales were terrific. It's a must stop for us when in Olympia.

I have always liked their bottled beer and was happy to find that the quality of their food matched the beer. They serve all the basic pub fare; burgers, fish & chips, bangers & mash. I had the fish tacos, excellent, and daughter had their shepherds pie, also very good. Nice and airy inside with a variety of different seating... More

Went there with family that were visiting from CA. It's a noisy place but expected that. The food was really good and the onion rings were "to die for". Be sure to try them! Family thought the beer was excellent. I'm not a fan so I didn't try any. They brew beer themselves so liking the beer there was a... More
