Trust me on this one-if you are seeking a really superb sandwich and incredibly great service then go here. This place certainly deserves its very positive and glowing reviews. The sandwiches and soup are truly wonderful. We were allowed to try some samples to help us make a decision and both soups of the day sounded delicious! Bread is freshly... More

Was there at the end of August around lunch time. The service, food and atmosphere were great. My homemad soup and homemade bread were fab. Then I treated myself to a homemade berry pie ala mode.

An absolutely wonderful experience and a fabulous chocolate shop across the street. Downtown, so you get to experience the homeless, sad on many levels! Do not let that detract from a sandwich shop that is bigger than most restaurants. They make most of their own bread, seem to have a huge takeout business, offered us excellent service and primo food!... More

Called in here for lunch and had two great sandwiches and coffee. The staff was really friendly and helpful even though was getting close to closing.

Really homey atmosphere, great sandwiches on homemade bread. Gets pretty busy during the lunch hour. Make sure and get yourself a cookie on your way out!

Best pickles. Best egg salad sandwich. Best French fries. This place can do no wrong! Literally my fav sandwich shop in Olympia. The bread is thick and homemade and they don't scrimp here. If you are in a lunch rush, maybe not the best time place to come because there usually is a wait. Especially thru the tight fitting drive... More

Whether it's the classic Reuben, the raspberry cream pie, or the red potato salad (can you tell what my favorites are) you can't go wrong with anything you select off the menu. Awesome food and great staff!

I am told the 5th Avenue Sandwich shop has been around for over 30 years and there is good reason it is still thriving. They are still doing things the old fashioned way. Their bread is baked fresh daily so the sandwiches are amazing. Their soups and salads are also noteworthy as are the reasonable prices. In addition to the... More
