To celebrate our son's 22 birthday, we chose this place for lunch. We knew nothing about it except that it had some good reviews online. It was one of the few sunny afternoon's this spring and the dock was filled with strolling people and the restaurant was mostly empty - just one other table had customers. The meal was perfect.... This is a hidden little gem, that I had forgotten about but recently rediscovered. Variety of lunch selections and specials with varying prices so everyone was pleased. Only one waiter during both recent visits and he could have given better service and sold more wine and desserts if he had the time. Overall nice lunch place that offers something for... More

As first experiences go, this was not a good one. We were impressed with the ambiance upon arrival. We ordered drinks to include a glass of cabernet sauvignon and the Evergreen and the mussels as an appetizer. The drinks were perfect and I recommend the Evergreen if you are a fan of grapefruit and gin. We ordered our dinner and... More

I visited this restaurant on a trip to Washington from Boston to visit my daughter and her husband. They are new to the area and hadn't been to any fine dining establishments yet. I found this listing on trip adivisor and was so happy we chose this restaurant! It is right on the water, and the atmosphere inside is quiet... More

I visited the Dockside Bistro on a quiet Saturday in January for lunch with another couple, and I'm glad we did! Pretty views of the marina and the bay, even in the rain, complete with a Blue Heron. The tidy, cozy restaurant was rather quiet for a Saturday, and we had a table next to the window so we could... More

Let's be honest: there are not a whole lot of top notch restaurants in Olympia. This restaurant is an excellent big fish in this small pond. We dined here on New Year's Eve, having the set menu five-course meal with wine pairings. Four of the five choices offered a choice of three of four different dishes for that course. While... More

A small, almost quaint restaurant located on the water in Olympia. The views were not what brought us to the restaurant, rather the proximity to our Doubletree Hotel right across the street. The wine list was good, with the appetizers and entres quickly served with good taste and portion size. A good restaurant that is reasonably priced.

Many diners praise Dockside Bistro as one of Olympia's premier restaurants, but our first-time experience there went steadily downhill after a promising opening of two excellent cocktails (an Evergreen with gin, a vodka martini with basil). Every other offering that followed was flawed. The signature appetizer of seafood martini (no alcohol included, just served in martini glass) had some fine... More

We love this place. Well worth a special night out. The scallops and duck are my favorite. The seafood martini is to die for. They have a GREAT wine selection also. This is our favorite restaurant in Oly.
