Yep, they have an excellent breakfast menu. And yes, american style food. I had a huge waffle, nice thick flavorful bacon, hash browns and coffee. Not a jalapeño in sight! I have also enjoyed their excellent mexican dinner menu.

Son had a soccer game here & decided to go to Checos. Not a place to go if you're on a time crunch but worth the wait. Tortas & tacos were great. Meat perfectly cooked. Charro beans are authentic. Service was good. Definitely worth another visit!

Three friends and I decided after a WSU game that we wanted to have dinner at a Mexican restaurant in Othello. I had a Bacon Cheeseburger that was big and delicious and very much worth the price I paid. My friends had different Mexican food plates and found the food very good and at a good price. The staff was... More

Stopped in for lunch and totally enjoyed the authentic food. From the chips with salsa and refried beans, to the enchiladas and chimichanga we all had a tasty meal. Rice and beans with the combo were fantastic, not oily or too spicy. Service was swift. Decor was not overly fancy but lots of cool pictures and accessories of Pancho Villa.... More

I used to drive through Othello regularly when I was a student at WSU a few years back and loathed the awful food at this pit stop. Checo's changes that dynamic with attentive service and great Mexican food. I ordered the 5 street tacos, a combination of al pastor and carne asada. I preferred the carne asada, but not because... They serve a traditional American breakfast all day and burgers, but why would you want it when there are so many fabulous Mexican dishes to choose from! Try the eggs and chorizo, or the chicharron with eggs. Yum! Pleasant, airy atmosphere and good service. Outdoor dining available. A good option for Othello and convenient to the highway through town.

I had two carne asada street tacos. Very tasty. Came with chips and salsa. Was very inexpensive lunch.

From the sign stating that "this place is 100% family", to the varied menu, you can't go wrong here. We had 4 entree's and all were spectacular. Chicken sauteed with mushrooms, green chilies, and onions was amazing as was the Papas with chorizo. When we were leaving, the manager was shaking hands with customers and being a positive presence in... More

Always a great meal. The Carne asada is yummy and the guacamole is fresh. You won't be disappointed. Wait staff remembers you and is always ready with a smile. Be sure to take some of the fresh baked cookies to go.

Traveling through Othello on a Sunday can be a depressing thing. Most restaurants are closed and the town seems deserted. However, one place was packed with families and happy diners -- Checos. The outside seemed rather unassuming, but the number of cars packed outside gave it away as a well-loved place. Indeed, the number of local and happy families is... More

Description
Best restaurant in this small town but is hidden on the outskirts of town so is unknown to many. I grew up in Othello, visited my folks there this weekend, went to Checos twice in weekend because it was so good!
