I loved this place. The house is about 150 years old for one thing. So cool to be eating where a family lived so long ago. The staff is friendly and they have wonderful coffee and pie!

But sometimes the ingredients in the sandwiches are not the best. We had a chicken curry sandwich and the chicken was tough and tasteless - either not brined, or too long in the fridge. Otherwise, friendly little place with great coffee, awesome selection of pastries, chess sets scattered about, and a casual but quiet atmosphere. Breakfast is not served all... More

This is the place to go for lunch in Port Townsend. There's a wide variety of tasty sandwiches and soups and the desserts are homemade and bountiful. The atmosphere is relaxing and allows for a nice afternoon chat over coffee and sweets.

A good but little place to go with excellent food and staff. It sometimes gets very crowded. Excellent both inside and out but not much room

Super friendly owners, this cafe was on a list of recommendations from the hotel we were staying at and it did not disappoint! Husband and I both had the best French dip on the best melt in your mouth bread. I also had hot cocoa with a homemade marshmallow carmalized to yummy perfection and hubby had a triple shot white... A nice courtyard with a bench under a shady tree and other seats outside to eat, it is a great place to visit. They have all kinds of desert choices and sandwiches on the menu, with many vegetarian options. They had a great tasty clam chowder for pescatarians, just clams without the bacon that seems to now be common in... More

I ordered the chef salad, which came with a large slice of homemade whole wheat bread. The salad was huge and could have easily been shared or split. The salad was tasty and fresh, and exactly what I expected. My husband ordered the three napkin Reuben. As a regular consumer of Reubens, he said the flavors were there, but the... More

I keep going back to this cafe for lunch, and not just for the well-made soups and sandwiches and pies. This is a family-run cafe where locals gather and where you'll always find boat-builders and writers and musicians. Quite often, musicians perform here during the afternoon. If you want to feel at home in Port Townsend, check it out.
