Really enjoyed our lunch here - food was decently priced and a great range to choose from. I loved the quirky, laid-back vibe and to top it off - we sat on the balcony and the sun was shining bright.

Yes - I agree with other reviewers about the beer selection - it's awesome. As for the food - not so much. Born and raised in Germany by parents who taught me to try and eat everything (which I still do today without being fussy), and having lived in 4 other European countries, I feel qualified to judge authentic cuisine... The food is pretty good, but, as others have mentioned, overpriced. Main problem is the slow and unfriendly service. Get some staff that actually want to do the job and this would be a much better place.

Great food with plenty of beer to choose from, also a full bar. I eat here about one or two times a month, always get the German Irishman sandwich with a Cesar salad always perfectly done! Plenty of parking.

Had lunch with my wife here and was surprised and impressed by the quality of the food and the attention to detail that was apparent in the food preparation. My wife's salad was meticulously prepared and all of our food had a gourmet finish that I was not expecting in this pub atmosphere. The pretzel was the best pretzel we've... More

My daughter and I happened upon this place while shopping in Poulsbo. The food is very delicious and staff very friendly. We recently took my husband and he loved it! We usually go to Leavenworth once a year (to ski) and to eat good German cuisine and now we don't have to drive as far for good German food!

There's a story here. We wound up in Poulsbo not knowing much beyond the name of the town, and went downtown. We looked at 3 or 4 restaurants that were pretty much empty, and wandered upstairs to this little pub, which was chock full of people eating and drinking. Yes, it was indeed a good sign. The brat came with... More

We stopped here for lunch on a foray into downtown Poulsbo. On the second floor of a building that houses a specialty shop on the first floor, it is very rustic. The entrance is down a short alley. Service was very good and timely. Our waiter kept my water glass full, which is important to me. After just returning from... More

Enjoyed a relaxing Saturday afternoon lunch with friends. The pickled herring on the Scandinavian Platter appitzer was the best this midwesterner has ever had. Nice selection of regional and national beers. Good service. Friendly waitstaff.

This was part of impromptu anniversary tour to the peninsula and could not have chosen a better place for lunch. We both had schnitzel and spatzle and it was sooooooooo good! The portion could have easily been shared. The wait staff was friendly and helpful. We were looking for a place to stay and the waitress knew everything about the... More
