Had dinner with family last night at Monterossos and was very happy with the decision to go here. The service was okay but it's dinner in a caboose so it isn't four star. The food though was very good and the wine list was local and Italian and priced very affordable. I would definitely go here again.

Tasty Italian food in a fun setting. You can pretend you are on a elegant dining car of old. Excellent wine list, meals made with fresh ingredients, soup from scratch, attentive service. We had a lovely meal.

My wife and I recently had a wonderful dining experience at Monterroso's restaurant. The uniqueness of the vintage Pullman rail car made the dining even more enjoyable. We were pleasantly surprised when we were offered a tasting of Italian wines. I would highly recommend selecting an evening when they have another one. The staff was great and the food was... More

The ambiance is stunning, rail car with ample seating. Menu is Italian and choices are abundant. It seems like some folks enjoy the wine selections a bit much as the atmosphere is very noisy and distracting. The food was good, but overly garlicky as a whole. I gave a four because it deserves more than a three, but a 3.5... More

Went to their wine tasting night with Neal Cooper pouring 6 of his great wines. The wines were delicious and Aaron discounts the price if you order one of them. The breads , salads, and pastas were all delicious. I highly recommend the Cajun pasta sauce.

Excellent place for couples or small parties. Train cars are intimate and cozy. Perfect for leisurely paced meals and conversation. Outstanding service, varied menu and decent wine list. Pricey, but a great place for special occasions.

The only vegan option was the pasta primavera. There's no sauce, just cooked pasta, veggies, olive oil, lemon juice (?) and a tiny bit of garlic. The other people in my party seemed to enjoy their food, especially the mushroom starter, except the bread was stale. Overall I would probably go back since there aren't a lot of vegetarian friendly... More

We visited here for the 1st time with our son and daughter-in-law and loved the quiet, dimly lit setting. We ordered crab cakes for an appetizer which were good and we all enjoyed our different entrees. The Chicken Marsala is really good!
