I don’t remember the last time we spent $59 on breakfast, maybe never, but it was worth it. We had a late breakfast or brunch because we had an afternoon flight, so this worked out. We walked in and said we could sit at the counter and we thought, I don’t know, then we looked over and saw these leather thrones for counter seats, we said sure! We settled in and our server Lynn was friendly, fast and helpful. We picked the $19 French Toast, cinnamon, maple syrup and delicious. But the thick, perfectly cooked bacon was even better. The $17 Biscuits and Gravy were equally as good. It was Bacon Gravy and served with a 1/2 plate of Shredded Hash Brown Potatoes which were perfectly cooked. Add $3.50 Coffee, $4.25 Orange Juice, $1.75 Service Charge, 10% Tax and Tip = $59. But, we didn’t eat again until we landed in Cleveland, so it was worth it to us.

We have been to the 13 Coins a few times, but it was a few years ago.
Service is warm and personable, food arrives hot, and portions are generous. So generous, we would likely want to remember to share a main entry in future, since they are so big.
I had the chicken and waffles. The waffle was huge and liberally coated with crumbled bacon. Instead of a chicken piece or two, there were two chicken strips. Unfortunately, they were a little chewy and didn't quite measure up.
My partner got eggs and bacon and French toast and with the large serving of hash browns, had to stop about halfway. Just huge portions.
The other thing we would add. We did not enjoy their orange juice, rather chemically and pasty and not very fresh orange tasting.
All in all though, a pretty good place for a hearty breakfast.

13 Coins Seatac is close to the airport (but not walkable) with nice ambiance and an extensive menu. They have lots of breakfast items, salads, steaks and sandwiches. We had dinner there and both ordered the fettuccine with clam sauce ($28/each). It was okay. It was too creamy for our taste and it needed a little bit of a kick. They do not take reservations, so we had a bit of a wait. After we were seated, it was almost an hour before we got our food. That’s not a complaint, but a heads up to be prepared to wait. Despite the average food and long wait, we would dine there again if staying near the airport.

Went to this restaurant for the second time since 2018.
While laying over as an airline crew member, I anxiously decided to grab dinner at 13 Coins SeaTac, but only to find disappointment.
I ordered a Reuben sandwich that was totally greasy enough to clog my arteries.
Three quarters of the way, I noticed the meat was way chewy. At first I thought it was a piece of fat from the meat, but after spitting it out it turned out to be a black rubber band! WTF!
I was upset because if I would’ve swallowed it, I’m sure that I would wind up at ER and the flight for the airline that I work for would’ve been canceled.
I brought up the issue to the waiter who didn’t really care and I asked for the manager who decided that only fair thing to do was to charge me half for the meal.
You’re better off taking the train and eat at the fish market.
Not coming back there again!

I know that the restaurant was busy because of the holiday season. We were dropping of a family member at the airport after a family funeral so thought of you for a good meal.
We arrived around 11:30am and was told we would have a 25 minute wait, which we did.
When we first arrived we were told that we couldn't go into the bar for service because they didn't have the staff to handle it. 25 minutes later, we were seated in the bar and it soon filled up with people. We only saw one waitress handling it all!
We didn't receive our drink order, which was just lattes and soft drinks, until about 30 minutes after we ordered them. We had to ask for sugar and table settings. We sat and sat, and saw other tables near us arrive, eat, and leave before we got our order over an HOUR AND A HALF LATER! No explanation other than they were busy.
We received 4 out of 5 of the dishes at that time and the 5th person had to wait for her order another 15 - 20 minutes! We were there for a total of 3½ hours for a simple brunch!
Normally, I might concede that, yes, you were busy because of the holidays, BUT the fact that there were no apologies or that a manager hadn't even stopped by to apologize was amazing!
The only plausible explanation is that our order was taken by another waiter and our waitperson didn't notice for quite a while and she had to put in another order for us!
All in all, a miserable example of service. We could have left and received our lunch somewhere else in half the time except we kept thinking that our food must be arriving soon!
Yes, the food was good.
We have been to 13 coins may times over the decades and never been subjected to such bad service. Thought that you should know!

It's been a few years since we went to dinner at the 13 coins. Very disappointed to see that the 13 coins is no longer is a formal dining restaurant. We ate in the bar, and I ordered the filet Minion. I asked if I could have bearnaise sauce with my steak. The waitress said we don't have bearnaise sauce. She told me that they had hollandaise sauce but no bearnaise sauce. I asked if the kitchen had tarragon to make bearnaise sauce. She just kind of stood there like...no...I don't think so. Any chef could quickly make bearnaise sauce, but the waitress could not even go ask the chef. She would not do that. I ended up ordering the NY Steak and my wife had chicken parmesan. Food was average at best. Spent over $100 with tip and didn't even enjoy it. I have been a customer for decades. I won't be back. The 13 coines has turned into a Dive Bar!

We never mind a wait as we are retired BUT to wait for food that was at best mediocre and pay $100? Ridiculous.
You’ll notice that the majority of their menu calls for ‘spaghettini’…meaning you’re simply paying for sub par, box thin spaghetti heavily sauced in butter. Dennys does the same thing. My husband had the ‘Sunday Cod’ and I had the salmon. I never leave reviews…it was hard to eat.
The salmon was hardly cooked and had a gelatinous substance floating like a moat. The spaghettini nearly hit as edible with their attempted used of fresh thyme, however they failed to remove the herb from the dinner which left my friends pulling bits of wood from their teeth. I’m not a food snob by any means…I just know what a $38 dinner entree should be and it should include a veg to offer respite from a pile of $2 pasta and globs of unrecognizable sauce.
Good luck 13 Coins. Your food has gone shockingly downhill.

I was there once before, and my litmus test for the overall quality of a restaurant is the quality of their chicken Parmesan, so I had theirs. It was SUPERB. This time I brought my wife and was ready to do chicken parm but noted they had prime rib, so I went that direction. Excellent! The waitress was fantastic, the setting and decor very appealing, and every item of food we ordered was as good as it gets - and at reasonable prices. I won’t go anywhere else when I’m in that area.👍👍😊

Sometimes there is a restaurant that demands a return every time you're close. This is one of those special places. The food is outstanding always as the big heavy leather clad menu beckons you to order more than one item. The comfy high back leather booths with 70's dangling charms provides an eclectic feel that offers a total getaway while waiting on a connecting flight. Literally just walk down the sidewalk from the airport, walk across on the crosswalk, and poof you're there and ready for a delightful getaway. We had the burgers this time but reubens, fish, and onions rings are all so good.

The servers are excellent and this is a good example of experience matters. We had three sandwiches, one side of spinach,a french onion soup and a coconut prawn appetizer plus 1 tea and two soft drinks without alcohol. The bill came to $139.00 before tip and we generally tip over 20% for good or excellent service and it was.We also noticed that they appeared to keep the sodium content as low as possible which is great for people on low sodium diets because you can always add if you like more.It was quiet in the bar and the servers were very respectful of your time. We really enjoyed the food and the attitudes of all the employees. They do have a happy hour which starts at three with $2.00 off a small selection of appetizers and some drink specials. We didn't try any of them but they looked ok. This a place we always go when we are at the airport.

Pros: The location by SeaTac is great. The space is pretty. Our server Thomas was the best. They have GF whole grain bread that is wonderful. Prices are reasonable. Mussel pesto was ok but too fatty.
Cons: The onion rings are awful. Almost burned. The brussels are ruined by heavy, goopy, over-salty soy sauce (and i love sauces). Fries are better but are oily and approaching limp. Wagyu burger sub Impossible patty is OK, but overcooked.
The reviewers who love the food there don't know what good food is. We won't be back.

This little restaurant is close to the airport and a local hotel, so it kind of has a built-in clientele. That being said, it was pretty good. My steak David was cooked a perfect medium rare, and my husband enjoyed his pasta with sausage and mushrooms. Our appetites weren't stoked to begin with, so we didn't have dessert. Service was fast and friendly. It's a "local institution," and it felt a little out of touch. But it was nice to have a walkable option for dinner. We got a kick out of guessing which coins were embedded in the tabletop. A solid choice if you're in the area.

I have been going here for 15 years and the quality continually decreases. Tonight was the worst ever! Waited over an hour for the table and got served apple bees quality food. They forgot about our appetizer and charges us extra for marinara that tasted like ragu. This restaurant used to be a lovely wxperience with food made with love, and now its nothing better than your average family chain with dim lighting.

We ate in the bar section. Waitress was good. We order drinks and then dinner. Dinner came out 5 mins after we ordered and didn’t even finish our cocktails.
This place is a diner style steakhouse.
It’s over priced and a production style Resturant.
Won’t go back !

Wife and I stopped by for a meal this past weekend. It was about a 20 minute wait for a table, which was fine.
Wife ordered the 13 Coins burger, and I had the country fried steak and eggs. The waiter asked the wife how much pink she wanted in her burger patty, to which she replied, "none." He confirmed this by saying ,"OK, medium well or well?" and she said "Just no pink." She ordered coffee and I had a diet coke.
Our food was hurriedly dropped off by a different server and was gone. We never saw another server the rest of our visit. Wife's coffee was never refilled, her fries were cold and her burger patty was pink in the middle, bordering on red. We could never find a server to remedy this.
While my eggs were good, the hashbrowns (of the box variety) were marginal at best and the country fried steak was thin, tough and very much needed the steak knife that came with the plate.
Throughout our meal our server was often over at the far end of the bar talking with the bartender. We saw another couple get up and grab their own menus after sitting at an empty table for an extended time.
When our server finally walked by we asked for our check he asked how everything was. I explained all the problems we had with out meal, the wife's empty coffee etc and that we had not seen him since he took our order, and that no other servers came by to check on us after the food was dropped off.
He quipped back, "Do you want to speak with the manager?" And I said that wasn't necessary, just to keep in mind that patrons can't address any issues with their food if the server disappears...to which he offered, rather condescendinglying, "I'll keep that in mind."
This used to be a special place to visit. Not so much anymore -- we will not return.
