Were up early and needed breakfast. Stopped in at the By the Bay Cafe in Seiku. Not much to look at, but a fine view, right across from the fishing docks. Clean and bright, we sat down at the counter. Cups of coffee arrived quickly;...More

The food we had over three meals was very good but service is not a core competency. One breakfast order was ch completely missed and we waited forever. You can come and listen to the server and the cook battle with each other. May be...More

Good breakfast. The waitress did an amazing job of juggling both tourists and the older local fisherman that liked to tease with her. Although folk were talking with her non-stop, she was efficient, friendly and kept bringing me coffee.

The owner is very friendly, and her food is consistently very good. They make adjustments very easy, and go out of there way to please the customer.

Traveling through, it was time for dinner. We stopped at the By the Bay Cafe. It is quaint local place. I decided to have salmon and was advised it was from the region. Was not my best salmon experience however, I am used to farm...More

My experience here will be among the most memorable of my trip. Not so much for the food, it was fine, but for the people. It was the small town place I always dreamed of finding. The owner is a young woman and she did...More
