I have a low learning curve. I keep trying the Black Pearl, thinking it was just a bad night for them last time, this time it will be better. And it just doesn't get any better. The food is somewhere between dull and unappetizing, and the ambiance of the restaurant is a cross of spartan and grungy.

I have never had a bad meal here. I often take advantage of the lunch special. Haven't found a General Tso's Chicken that can compare with their chunks of breast meat. Also enjoy their homemade noodles! It is not fancy, but that is easily overlooked when the food tastes so good.

I've eaten several times at Black Pearl and we've had carry out. It's really scary when I use the bathroom and it's gross, it makes me concerned are they cleaning the kitchen? The food was bland so there was not really a good decision to go here. Thee has to be better places to go.

The special fried rice is good, however they have reduced the portion size by half but still charge the same price. We won't be eating here again....

Been going for 5 years. Good food no matter what you choose. Excellent soups. BUT it's always cold in there especially winter. Uses floor heaters. The place need remodel BAD. I understand cost and running a business but this is going too far. Still can't knock the food!

Best thing about this restaurant is that they deliver. Food is pretty good, just not fantastic. I've never eaten in the dining room.

What happened? We finally stopped going after having consistently poor quality food preparation in what used to be an excellent restaurant for take-out. The place itself has never been one to eat in, but now we drive the extra miles to go to Judy Fu's Snappy Dragon for hand-pulled noodles.

We were hungery for handmade noodles and the Black Pearl is know for their noodles, or so we had heard. We ordered and received our food, the noodles were hand CUT, not pulled. Big difference..hand pulled noodles are so much better then the cut noodles..hand cut noodles are what you get at an Italian resturant. Two of the dishes we... More

We have loved the food here for years. They use lots of fresh, crisp vegetables and good cuts of meat/good quality seafood in their Chinese dishes. But for the past several years, we have been unable to enjoy our food at the restaurant because of the smell which permeates it. It smells like a musty basement. Every once in a... More

We love this place! Fresh, fresh, tasty stir fry at a reasonable price. We've been many times and have never been disappointed.
