What a find in a super small town. An excellent stop to plan around if your out and about Dayton, Washington area for skiing, wine tasting, or whatever! Better yet, make it the focus of your visit. Tasty food, for sure!

Situated in the small downtown strip of Waitsburg, an unusual site for a restaurant. It's about 20 minutes from Walla Wall and an hour from TriCities. But despite the remote location, it is not lacking of patrons. It is a popular destination after wine tasting from Walla Walla. What is interesting are the people that come to the restaurant straight... More

Went for lunch. Had a Pulled Pork Sandwich with Gumbo and Mac and cheese. The pulled pork was okay but not special. The sauce on the pork seemed to be the bottled hot sauce that was on the table. The Gumbo was also only marginally above average. The Mac and cheese was pretty good but rather pricey and hard to... More

This interesting restaurant seemed so out of place (Main St., Waitsburg WA - not much going on here, it seemed), but what a find! I do like good southern comfort food, and this certainly fit that bill. And the bill was not bad for this good fare. Must try - the Jambalaya!

One does not expect authentic Cajun food in Waitsburg, Washington, but it's there tucked into one quiet end of Main Street. We had Jambalaya (VERY spicy but good), delicious gumbo, and various types of cornbread/ hush puppies included with meal. We also had what they called a wedge salad--a little tricky to eat but delicious and some incredibly delicious Klicker... More

Well located right on Main St. Seating is sparce so make a reservation if you have time. We didn't and there was only two of us and they were able to get us in. I had the shrimp and crawfish etouffee and she had the country fried catfish and fried green tomato. Portion size was perfect in that we weren't... More

My wife and I had had lunch with a friend and the three of us were very pleased with the service and the food. Two of us had file gumbo (if you are old enough you will remember the song) and my wife had a pulled pork sandwich and soup. We thought everything was exceptionally good. This should hold for... You will find a bit of the southland here. Cajun cooking with authentic spicing and taste. They are open for lunch as well as dinner now and is bound to become the classic that their mother café in Waitsburg, WA has been. You won't be disappointed in the Walla Walla experience!

This cafe is start to finish a classic. Our server recommended her favorites, told us about the restaurant's history and made our visit better. The hushpuppies were over the top. We had the crawfish pie (a small pizza) and it's great as an entree paired with the wedge salad. Everything is made there. I can't get the pizza dough out... More
