This place gets to use local ingredients that matches the season, they use their own produce and when they are short, they reach to local farms. As soon as you enter you are greeted with a broth and appetizer, both were delicious. If you are waiting for the farm tour, you could check out the living room and the cellar,... More

The Herbfarm is one of a kind. A vast herb garden provides inspiration for its set nine course meal. The master chef and sommelier develop an exquisite tasting experience which delights all senses. Every three weeks a new menu is developed and presented using fresh, local, ingredients. But first, enjoy a tasting tour through the herb garden, where the owner... More

First, you need to reserve well in advance and plan on this a a special event. Then, you should be prepared to understand the concept of "local" including herbs from our farm. These guys have been doing this for a long time and do well. Finally, be prepared for a series of lectures as they explain their philosophy, the sourcing... More

Dining here as been on my bucket list. We went for a special occasion and enjoyed the experience. The walk through the gardens, seeing the wine cellar and enjoying the beauty of the place. It's a 9 course meal with 5 wine pairings. Everything was delicious and the service was superb. It's a lot of food. It's a lot of... More

If fine dining, organic food, outstanding tastes is what you are craving, plan ahead as reservations can be 6 months out at times BUT it's worth the wait.

We come once and a while when we are in Seattle, and have never been disapointed. It is always an event, service is impeccable but relaxed. The food is always adventurous, beautifully prepared, flavorful and exciting. Had a guest with very complicated food allergies, and they were able to accomodate everything. as always the wines were very well paired.

We ate here for an early Valentine's Day celebration and were not disappointed. The food and the wine were outstanding but be prepared to be extremely full, even the morning after. The only negative was that we sat right next to the guitarist, who tough he played lovely music, was difficult to talk over and we also had a noisy... More

I had recently been to a set dinner getaway and was looking for something amazing closer to home. This was not it. The new menu was Red Heads. The local wine was average at best and the food was very out there and just not to a great standard. I wanted exquisite taste and got Sunchokes and sweetbreads. The Tuna... More

Carrie and Ron, the owners, have perfected the art of subtle, eclectic excellence. The themed menu, changed every 3 weeks, is locally sourced and foraged, well thought and executed. Arrive early for a guided tour of the herb garden where you are encouraged to taste fresh picked herbs and flowers. The nine course tasting menu, whichtakes4 hours to complete, is exquisitely planned and... More

The Herbfarm is America's only 5-Diamond Restaurant north of Napa Valley and east of Chicago. With working farm and restaurant 20 minutes from Seattle, the restaurant offers 26 different 9 course dinner menus each year.Creed: The Herbfarm believes that no dish can be better than its ingredients, and that the best ingredients are usually local. Freshness is ephemeral, and geography expresses itself in the taste of the food--sometimes subtly and sometimes profoundly. The foods and wines of our region share a similar motherhood of soil and weather, making for a happier culinary marriage than those from dissimilar climates. The Herbfarm believes that chefs who cook with local ingredients--season by season, year after year--develop a more complete understanding of the foods than chefs who do not. This understanding can give rise to greater expressions of the food, its preparation, and enjoyment. The Herbfarm believes that supporting local farmers, foragers, cheesemakers, wineries, ranches, and fishermen helps preserve local foods.
